Private tutoring advice--testmasters or powerscore

Post by rossrobert » Thu Jun 10, 2010 10:01 pm

Last summer I took a testmasters course and retaking this october. I just purchased the powerscore bibles and wanted to get a private tutor for a few sessions. Do you think I should go back with testmasters or call powerscore as I will now be using their bibles?

I liked testmasters, but feel the powerscore bibles may be easier for me to learn from since I believe there is more detailed explanations which i think the testmasters books lacked. i'm sure the two companies are very similar, but just not sure if it is wise to go with a powerscore tutor after using testmasters.

TestMasters is excellent for those who benefit from personal instruction. However, I believe they deliberately limit the amount of instruction in their material. They don't want the entire course in writting. The reason, in my opinion, is to limit the potential material exchanged on the secondary market.

If you're more of a textbook learner, I recommend getting the bibles.
