Predict Your June 2010 LSAT score...
Doesn't seem to be a thread dedicated to this exercise, and since I'm spending too many of my waking hours mentally trying to figure out what I got anyway...it's time to predict your June 2010 LSAT score.
It's good luck (???) if you guess your score correctly.
My median (and mean, and mode) practice test score was 174. Range on the most recent tests was 173-179.
On test day, I had the LR-LG-LR(ex.)-RC-LR version.
On Logic games I powered through the first two games, did fine on mulch. Did the first three questions on interns (mistakenly read the rule wrong like so many others), but had time to go back and finish, only guessed on one question (and was picking from among two answers). So I'm predicting a -1 (best case) to -4 (worst case)
LR is a blur, but I think I did well. Probably one or two dumb mistakes on each section, if my PT's are any indication. Luckily I though the experimental section was the toughest of the three. Best case -0 total, worst case -4 total.
RC is my strongest section, and I didn't think this one was too tough (though Chicano dancing was horrendously boring). Best Case: -0 Worst Case: -2.
Prediction Range: Best case -1 (180, yeah right, no god damn way), worst case -10 (170? depending on the curve).
Although in my panicky moments I convince myself that I rushed too much and will bomb, in my calmer moments I'm 99% sure that my score will fall within this (admittedly broad) range.
Final prediction: 176 (please, please, please).
This analysis basically runs through my mind at least once every half hour.
Anyone else care to publicize their inner anxiety?

I'm almost identical to you in my predictions by section. But since I'm a pessimist and I already have a 166 in the bank, i'd be real happy to walk away with a 170.

I'm in a pretty similar boat all around to you. Except i'm a little bit more worried about RC than you, and I'm thinking my worst case would be at least a few more questions than you.jdstl wrote:Doesn't seem to be a thread dedicated to this exercise, and since I'm spending too many of my waking hours mentally trying to figure out what I got anyway...it's time to predict your June 2010 LSAT score.

I'm hoping for a 175+ so I can not retake, and not even have to think about retaking at all.
I'm guessing I got a lower-mid score though, 171 to 173.
Good luck, hopefully we get our target scores =)

I don't want to jinx my score. I predicted my last score and it ended up being way worse. Too superstitious to predict

After studying for the LSAT, don't you feel too logical to believe in superstition?Hey-O wrote:I don't want to jinx my score. I predicted my last score and it ended up being way worse. Too superstitious to predict

No, don't you read the arguments on this board? Studying for the LSAT does NOT make you logical. Understanding logic doesn't mean you have to practice it.Knockglock wrote:After studying for the LSAT, don't you feel too logical to believe in superstition?Hey-O wrote:I don't want to jinx my score. I'll be happy with a 170 too. Though high pts/solid gpa have dreams of YHS traipsing around in my head, I'd still be thrilled to end up at WUSTL with $$$.burtonrideclub wrote:I'm almost identical to you in my predictions by section. Re: Predict Your June 2010 LSAT score...
Pt avg: high 160's (169/170 avg?) for the last 10 with an outlier 172 and a weird 161 in there (can't explain that still).
RC Avg towards end (3-6)
LG Avg (0-2)
LR Avg (2-4)
I had RC-LR-LG-LR-RC. Couldn't have asked for a better form given the questions on this test...
RC (exp.) was a disaster. I was freaking out. Had to guess on a few and wanted to kill myself. Prayed for it being exp. which kept me going pretty strong through the rest of the test.
LR 1 - Blur. Went VERY strong for first 17 or so, then really slowed down, probably -3 to 4
LG 2 - Confident, probably -0 but I got nervous with some bubbling. Easily could have messed up 2 bubbles.
LR 2 - Blur. Same problem as number 1, with doing first 17 fast. But fatigue was definitely starting to set in. Had to guess on 2. Probably -4.
RC 2 - Got so excited/relieved by seeing this section that I actually read every passage and wisely left the comp. with 5 questions till last to maximize my efficiency. Got every question done as time was called. This might be one of those rare instances where I only miss 2 on an RC, but is more likely a -4 or so.
I don't want to jinx it, and say anything too high, but if my life depended on a best guess I'd say 169. Could easily be a 165 or a 171 though if I got lucky or if I mis-bubbled.

Re: Predict Your June 2010 LSAT score...
LR is a blur for the most part, but I think I did well. LG is likely a -0. I could fall anywhere in between -0 and -8 on RC. I expect something on the lower end, but I'm always unsure and pessimistic about RC. Usually do better than I think.
With that in mind, I will say low-170, prediction-173, high-180 (bahaha, high is more like a 177)
This is all based on a -10 curve of course. Come on -14.

Re: Predict Your June 2010 LSAT score...
I did 6 full PT before the final and spent all my time (1 month) on LG.
My tests were 160 (fake one), 170, 165, 167, 177 (got those damn LG, plus some lucky guesses), 164.
So without a solid LG, I'd say 165.
And I missed LG. So 165
Um or less

Missed a game and 1 passage = (guessed)
Didn't think LR was too bad, avg.
Avg PT 160

Re: Predict Your June 2010 LSAT score...
Lets see. The 4th game on LG totally fucked me so I had to guess on all but one of those questions. The rest of the LG I felt fairly confident on. I know I got every mulch game correct, it seems that some had some difficulty with this one-I thought it was a breeze. I think I kinda fucked one of the RC passages cause I read wayyyy to fast. And the LR is always wishy-washy. Hopefuly I managed -4 or -5 on them (thats like the BEST I can hope for).
My dream score is low enough for the majority on this board to commit suicide, but I feel I atleast got a 160.

Re: Predict Your June 2010 LSAT score...
It all depends on the curve.
LG (-0)
Reading Comp (-2)
LR 1 (-3)
LR 2 (-5)
Whatever -10 is.
The best scenario I can hope for is -7 (since I know I got at least 7 questions wrong).
Overall- I'm feeling a 170 but give or take 5.

I think it's harder to get a 120 than a 180. You probably can't get a 120 with all guesses. You have to identify the correct answer in every question and intentionally select another answer choice. If anything, a 120 should be as celebrated as a 180.

But you usually need to get around 17 to get a 121, and 0-16 right is usually a 120. Not that that's what I'm scoring3|ink wrote:I think it's harder to get a 120 than a 180. I had LG (exp.), LR 1, LG, LR 2, RC
I'm guessing
LR 1 (-3)
LG (-6)
LR 2 (-3)
RC (-7)
A total of -19.
Im not sure what it will be with the curve but anywhere from 159-162?

Re: Predict Your June 2010 LSAT score...
I had RC LR LG LR RC.
My practice average was a 173. I feel decent about the LR. I finished them all, but I was pretty stumped by a couple and had to guess between two remaining answers. Overall I predict -5 total on LR (hopefully it will be less, but I don't think it will be to much more). The games were easy for me. I predict -0 on the LG. The RC will probably be my worse section. The first passage was pretty troublesome, the middle two sections were easy and I don't think I got any wrong, but by the time I got to the last section, I was low on time and I had to speed read through. I had enough time to make educated guesses on all of the questions, but I couldn't go back to the passage to verify any answers. Overall I predict about -6 on the RC (hopefully I'm being overly pessimistic and I was better than I think, I don't think I'll miss more than that though).
Overall, I predict a 170. Though it could be anything between a 168 and a 174.

You could just leave them all blank (maybe except for one or two so a score actually gets calculated). Just curious, what's the lowest score that anyone has ever personally (not through the grape vine) known someone to get?3|ink wrote:I think it's harder to get a 120 than a 180. I nailed LG, RC can vary from -2 to -5 and in LR I think I missed around 6 total.
Therefore: 167 seemed reasonable
