How I Snubbed the Proctor

Post by onthemoney » Tue Jun 08, 2010 12:35 am

Some of the proctors were standing in the hall talking and needless to say it was distracting. So during my LG section (2nd for me), I snapped my fingers (I had to make a noise since they weren't in the room to see me), and motioned for them to come over. Two (!) proctors came and I told them that "the test takers are able to hear your conversations and it is distracting so could you please try to keep it down?

You know what? I'm usually against this seemingly douchey behavior but good for you! Proctors during my last attempt actually freaking TALKED DURING THE EXAM IN THE ROOM THE ENTIRE TIME RIGHT NEXT TO MY DESK and kept coming in and out of huge, heavy, metal double doors.

I don't see a need to be nasty to people. Asking nicely usually works better anyway

Yep, I had a proctor sit next to me and "read", but she actually decided to talk to the other proctor most of the time.

That is until the last section where she feel asleep and snored for about 15 mins.

Didn't say anything. Actually the snoring, lightened things up for me (stress wise) on the last section.

man, my proctors were awesome I was literally 5 feet away from where the were sitting and the only whispered to each other once or twice and when they came or left the room the ever so gently closed the door. At break they also passed out candy bars...
