June 2010 CURVE Predictions
I would literally donate non-essential organs for a -14.
The LG were utterly brutal imo and the last one made no sense whatsoever. RC seemed easy though and the LR was not anything out of the ordinary imo. I'm thinking -11 or -12?

The average June curve (looking at every curve from June 02- June 09) was:
-10 for 170
-16.5 for 165
-24.125 for 160
-10 for 170
-16.5 for 165
-24.125 for 160

I'm right there with you.
I feel like I did worse than my very first cold diagnostic test.

Average has little relevance to this test, unless this test was average difficulty. And it's not easy to say that it was objectively.

i don't care about averages... because i'm just taking this "specific" exam.

This statement is either wrong or vacuous.jpSartre wrote:Average has little relevance to this test, unless this test was average difficulty. And it's not easy to say that it was objectively.

Re: June 2010 CURVE Predictions
So does anyone think another -14 is remotely possible?
I killed that effin December exam with its -14 curve and I struggled mightily with this one. I panicked hardcore on the LG though...probably my fault for not keeping my cool.

Re: June 2010 CURVE Predictions
Aside from Dec 09, there has not been a -13 or higher since Dec 02. There has not been a -14 or higher since Dec 00.
I'd bet against there being -13 or higher on any June exam these days.

With knowledge of this specific test, data from others certainly has less relevance.
However, with little-to-no knowledge of this specific test (which is possible if it's difficult to remember or you don't trust your own recollections), data from others has more relevance.
If you like, you can examine this and draw your own conclusions:

Here's the range for June exams since 2002 (when the overall curve really started shifting downward):
June 04 = -12
June 07 = -8

Re: June 2010 CURVE Predictions
No way dude. December was way harder (last time they had -14). Take a look at December's RC and you'll see a significant difference in difficulty. The only challenge in this test was the last LG. In hindsight, the big deduction was painfully obvious. I have a feeling that more people got it than did not. We're only seeing more complaints about it because people who got it aren't likely to mention it.a11 1n wrote:So does anyone think another -14 is remotely possible?

However, difficulty is relative. That RC and LR were manageable.

My prediction: -12 for 170.
This definitely wasn't an easy exam.

Re: June 2010 CURVE Predictions
LR and RC were, relatively speaking, ordinary
the games were a bit funky
though i'd like to say that it was a massively difficult test...it probably wasn't, and unfortunately, i think we're looking at another -10
sigh. sigh. sigh.

Re: June 2010 CURVE Predictions
I took June '09 (which I think was -11 -- maybe -12). I ran into even more time pressure on this exam than I recollect from '09, felt that the LG were about the same/maybe a little tougher, LR maybe a little easier (but its close), RC about the same difficulty. If I had to guess I'd say the curve will be no larger than the one in June '09 (can someone can confirm what it was?), unfortunately. I hope I'm wrong. Obviously one person's guess isn't of much value, but I submit my hunch so that it can enter into the body of evidence used in guessing the curve.
Also similarly to '09, I would have given a kidney to learn that the other Logic Games section I had was experimental. C'est la vie.
C'mon c'mon -14!

Re: June 2010 CURVE Predictions
I am so mad about the last game, my brain shut down because I took too much time on the other games and later in the test it hit me how I could have done that one. I am going to see this test in my night mares. I thought I was more ready to push through than I was. The fact that we didn't even start until almost 2PM sucked too.
