LG Rule Change Questions - AAAAH! Forum

I hate rule change questions that ask for a different rule that would produce the same result.

Any hints for how to do these? I just never feel confident about them and they take forever to really figure out. I just make a good guess and hope to come back but a lot of times I can't.
