Help with LG#2 preptest 51 (conditional sequencing)
So I had my first "oh shit" moment where after testing in the mid 170s on my last 10 preptests I came across this logic game and stupidly devoted way too much time to it, killing my scores on the other games and finishing with a 167 (didn't help I was only giving myself 30 mins on the other sections).
My question is: what the hell do I do with this game? Now that I think about it more it seems like I should have just made two setups as the two large conditional rules essentially change the entire makeup of the game. But instead I tried to keep the rules in my head and just juggle them, which did not work at all! This has totally screwed with my confidence. I've been avoiding other explanations of these types of rules because they all seem to spoil later games that I need for my remaining preptests.

Which game was this? I did PT51 day before yesterday but don't have it on me.

If I remember correctly, you are referring to the G>F>H and H>F>G conditions (not sure I got the order exactly right). But yeah, I think the best approach here would be to create 2 separate templates, one under each chain. These chains influence the if G>H and if H>G chains and the corresponding outcomes, creating 2 very different templates.

The game with the hotel suites, right? I just diagrammed all the rules and went from there. IIRC, the game gave me no problems. If I had created two different templates, then I probably would have confused myself.

Yeah this is the hotel one. Just caught me off guard I had never seen that kind of rule before and LG is generally my weakest section (though I had plugged the gaps but apparently not). Strangely enough I had no problem with mauve dinos the other day, so I'm not sure what it was about this one in particular that screwed me up.

Using templates is an effective approach for this game.

Yeah. I wish I had have thought of that. Each template even incorporates all the variables. would have been so much easier.
