Cold diagnostic.......untimed.
Just finished my cold diagnostic (June 2007) and ended up with LG -2, LR -3, LR -7, RC -7: 81/162. Obviously the score is inflated b/c I didn't time it, but by how much? Is this worth a damn or can anyone perform well on this thing, given enough time? TLS wisdom, please send some input! Thanks!

You wont have any idea until it's timed. Particularly with the games, and possibly to a lesser extent the RC the time will make a big difference.

It would help to know how long it took on each section. If you were finishing them untimed in like 40 minutes or so, that could be a good sign you hover around 160. If it took you an hour per section, then its really not indicative of anything near a 162.

I was in the 40-50 min range for every section while I was talking occasionally to my GF who was also in the room. I could also feel myself getting really tired towards the end of the last two sections. I missed 6/10 to end the second LR and 4/10 to end RC. I also didnt print the exam off, so I was reading off of my comp. screen the whole time. Not sure about anyone else but it wears a little on my eyes after a while.

You can probably do better if that's the conditions you were taking it under, but you're also giving yourself excuses, which is normal. You need to buy real LSATS http://www.amazon.com, lock yourself in a room and see how you really do. no bathroom breaks during sections. early AM etc

it was the actual June 2007 LSAT so at least it was real. True story on the excuses, though. I plan to take this next June, and I was just anxious to see what the test was like. I ordered the bibles and I am pumped to get started, but how early is too early?

I am not really the best person to speak to the whole stringing out the timing as I only got to the games bible, but definitely master all 3. Also buy the games workbook and I believe there is a new one. before and after the powerscore LG bible was night and day for me.

Isn't it the workbook that provides actual games from many of the actual tests? If so, won't that inflate scores as you see them again during PTs? Seems like this would be something that would be good to avoid...

Also, did you take more PTs as you go through the bible? or just work the whole thing and then take a test at the end to see how much you improved? (in the respective section of course)

imo, that 162 means next to nothing
the real difficult part of this test is not the questions...it is the timing

I find it worrisome that people can still miss LG questions when taking it untimed. There is a definite, provable answer for each question.

I know. I didn't take it under the pretense of having plenty of time, I just didn't set a timer. I still went through fairly quickly.5ky wrote:I find it worrisome that people can still miss LG questions when taking it untimed. There is a definite, provable answer for each question.

13 months is way too early, IMO.KingJames6 wrote:it was the actual June 2007 LSAT so at least it was real. True story on the excuses, though.
