Morning of preparations

Post by iwanta170 » Sat May 15, 2010 7:49 pm

I just learned that the exam is at 12:30pm, a lot later than I thought.

I've been waking up a lot earlier (around 830-9) than usual over the past month so I wouldn't be tired when I woke up the morning of the test. Should I continue doing this or force myself to stay up later these next few weeks so I can be used to waking up right before the test? I don't know what to eat the morning of either--I was just going to eat a light breakfast but now will have to decide if I want to also eat lunch and risk needing to take a monster shit in the middle of the exam =(

You don't want to wake up right before the test. Your brain takes a few hours to fully wake up in the morning. I'd suggest waking up at the time you currently are to ensure that you're fully awake and have plenty of time to get to the test center and eat a good-sized breakfast.

Try to avoid major fluctuations in your sleep schedule, or you risk not operating at 100% while studying and on Test Day itself

I wouldn't eat anything sketchy the morning of the exam or the night before. Eat foods that you know won't give you stomach problems, and preferably include something with protein, like eggs. This thread has some recommendations on diet/supplements: http://www.top-law-schools.com/forums/v ... 6&t=117585

I don't have any quick fixes for what to do if you get the shits during the exam, other than wearing a pair or two of Depends.

This helps with #1 issues: http://www.stadiumpal.com/

If I wake up at 9 the morning of the test, is it a good idea if I hold off on eating breakfast until 11 or will that throw me off?

I don't know whether that would throw you off. Personally, I like to eat soon after I wake up.

It seems to me that the sooner you eat, the sooner you can go to the bathroom and get things out of your system before walking into the test center.

Try different things out and see what works for you. You have about 3 weeks to work out these details.
