I am taking the October lsat and would like to get started studying sometime soon. I am thinking of taking the Testmasters course that begins in late July, but I have a decent amount of free time during May/June that I don't want to waste. Is it advisable to buy and complete some of the Powerscore bibles, Kaplan review books, or other practice material before my actual course starts up? I have heard mixed reviews about this strategy.
Appreciate it.

Re: Rookie Question- mixing materials
i would advise using the material in conjunction to your TM course (thats what i did). for example, if we went over sequencing games at TM, i would go home and review the corresponding chapter in the LGB and then do the TM homework (if you have other material that gives you practice then use them too).
take May/June to relax IMO. if you want the satisification of doing something start getting your administrative things (LORs, Transcripts, Statements) in order.
good luck.

the tm course will teach you the basics and have you drill on individual questions. I think you should start with the bibles now so that when the course starts, you can ask questions or learn the logic behind it through the lectures.

Powerscore and TM are pretty similar. Shouldn't be any trouble mixing those. I wouldn't mix Kaplan with anything if I were you...I would stay as far away from Kaplan as possible.
By the way, if you live in the NYC area and want a tutor instead of a course, look me up.

Would you all advise starting with the Powerbook bibles, then moving on to the actual LSAC tests (without overlapping) before beginning with the Testmasters course?
