Favorite LSAT Section?

Post by gbpackerbacker » Tue Apr 20, 2010 12:58 am

Not experimental--LG, LR, or RC. I at first really liked LG, but as of late I have enjoyed LR more (not to say I actually enjoy it). I HATE HATE RC, just SO dry...

I'm just curious to see what people have to say. Which section do you like the most/hate the least?

I think a ton of people feel the same way as you do. I love doing games. LR was strange at first, but now it's fun too. Whenever a new test comes out I get excited about it. But I have done every single LSAT problem multiple times, and I still can't get myself to actively enjoy RC. Unless it's about something you care about, for most people it's always going to suck (not that that means you can't get good at it, though).

I always like the one I do best on, TBH. :D

LG, hands down. It's the only section I finish early with confidence. If I finished any other section with the same amount of time, I'd be extremely concerned!

LG is my favorite by far. RC is my least favorite.

I always did really well on reading comprehension. That was my thing. My worst was logical reasoning, I never really understood why.

LG by far. I dominate. The other two....not so much.

Agreed, but I especially dislike RC, but not because I was in the brown reading group or something. RC would be so easy if I just had three more minutes. Lightning speed does not prove better comprehension.

Definitely, LR and the Humanities question on the RC section.

LR. By far. RC close second depending on whether or not I get some hippy art question or something, and distant 3rd is LG. Put another RC/LR section in place of LG and i'm instantly in the 170s :(

OP should make this a poll. I vote LR. It made the most sense to me even the first time I took it. Though the games are kind of fun right before they become boring.

LG, far and away. I actually enjoy the games. It's like a section of sudoku or crossword. I don't mind the science RC passages, but the rest are pretty boring.

LR is my least favorite. Just when I think I've gotten it down, I blow up on a section.

LG, especially once you know the basic tips and tricks (like how in sequence it'll almost always fall within one or two scenarios).

Reading Comprehension was so annoying, especially if the subjects are completely uninteresting. Plus, the answers are especially "gotcha"-types that are easy to be confused over.

Needless to say, LG was my strongest, RC my weakest in the real thing.

LR > RC > LG
Mostly because LR and RC are fairly consistent and I can do well on them most of the time. LG can really deep-six my score with one funky game I just don't "get".

I should have focused more on RC. I plateaued with LR and rocked LG. And overall, I think the more time you put into it, the more you get out of it. It's obvious I guess. And I hated every second I studied that crap. But if you want a 170, study for 2 months straight multiple hours (3/4), 4-5 days a week.
