Chicago Area Testing Center Reviews

Post by a11 1n » Mon Apr 19, 2010 8:52 pm

Hey all, just wanted to get some opinions on testing centers in the Chicagoland area. I took my first exam at Northwestern University Evanston. There were about 150 of us in a lecture hall. The proctors took forever to get the materials out and had no coordination. A lot of paper shuffling and somebody had some electrical something which beeped every 10 minutes and the proctors did nothing about it, probably because they could not figure out where it was coming from.

Overall I say avoid Northwestern in Evanston if you can. This time around I am going to take it at DePaul in Lincoln Park.

I took it once at the Loyola downtown campus and once at the Northwestern downtown campus. Of the two, Northwestern was much better because the classrooms had big, long tables on which test-takers could spread their materials, whereas Loyola had those uncomfortable desk-attached chairs with surfaces about the size of my palm.
