Do more games? Or repeat more games?
I started prepping a little over a week ago, and while I've found LR and RC relatively intuitive, LG isn't going well due primarily to timing. I've read the LGB once and have almost every logic game, but with just over 7 weeks to go I'm trying to decide the best way to approach the section.
Am I better off doing as many of the game sections from PT 1-40 as possible (saving the rest for full length PTs)? Or should I focus on something like all games from PT ~20-40, and trying to do them three times each (similar to the Pithypike study guide)?
I'm leaning toward ~20-40 three times each, but want to at least throw the question out there.

RC fail?dakatz wrote:You've been prepping for a little over a week and did every single logic game?! Maybe I'm misunderstanding you, but thats a bit crazy, and I can't imagine learning anything from them if I flew through them so fast. As for repeating games, I found it very helpful, as long as I hadn't done them in a few weeks. Always keep track of your time on games, and see if you improve the next time you do it.

Yep, pretty epic at that. Alcohol and TLS don't mix well...emrose wrote:RC fail?dakatz wrote:You've been prepping for a little over a week and did every single logic game?! Re: Do more games? Or repeat more games?
Maybe my OP was confusing.
I have ~160 individual games that I'd like to practice on before moving to timed preptests. If I can do ~40-50/week over the next 4 weeks, am I better off trying to do all 160 once with few, if any, repeats?
Or should I just shoot for doing the ~80 more recent ones (preptests 19-38 in this case) multiple times (3x for the harder ones, just once for easier ones)?
Basically I'm wondering if doing games multiple times helps build speed more than doing as many individual games as possible. Obviously I'd ideally like to do every game 2-3 times, but that won't happen with just over 7 weeks until the June test.

Re: Do more games? Or repeat more games?
I went through this exact issue a few weeks ago (I started full length PT after finishing up studying LG by doing each 7-45 multiple times). I ended up doing every game twice and giving myself a third (and in some cases fourth, fifth, sixth...as necessary) on games that were particularly hard. I think it worked well because I've done five full PT now and I've gotten -0 on all except a few stupid mistakes or misbubbles (I say, misbubbles are going to be the death of me). So I think skipping a third (or probably even second) time on certain games works fine.
(My success might have something to do with the later LG sections being easier, but I choose not to think about that...)

TCR:
Do both, and then study some more, take lsat september 10, apply early, save $$,$$$, and just overall win.

Re: Do more games? Or repeat more games?
This is looking more likely by the day (October this year, though). Trying to prep for only 8 weeks with a full-time job just isn't happening for June. This way I can do all the games 1-40 three times before moving on to full-length PTs.Nicholasnickynic wrote:TCR:

Thanks nick and alive for the advice.
