Blueprint LSAT Describe questions

Post by Jimjones » Wed Apr 07, 2010 5:30 pm

Anyone else find these really tough? I just got killed on the 20 describe questions in the HW section for chapter 6. Strange too as I get almost all of the flaw questions right and I thought the flaw questions were supposed to be harder. :?

Killer course so far! Lot of fun and really improving my games and LR. RC is a bitch and going to take some major work.

One of the biggest things for these is anticipation. You should try to have a good idea of how the argument is working before you dive into the answer choices. The big thing you want to be asking yourself is how they get from the premises to conclusions.

A couple things will help; first of all, go over the page of prevalent argument techniques in lesson 5. Also, with all the ones you miss, make sure you take the time to review them. Why is the AC you picked not a correct description of the argument? Why is the correct AC?

Also, don't forget about the Blueprint email helpline, currently manned by yours truly.

Oh, and yes, RC can be a huge bitch. It's the most gradual section to improve for most people (it certainly was for me), so make sure you don't put off the RC homework.

Thanks a lot BP. I will go over exactly what you suggested. One other thing, do the homework flaw questions go in order of difficulty? I find the first 30 or so I am running 100% then near the end I get owned? lol

Yeah, we often tend to start the homework with the easier ones to familiarize you with the concepts and give you practice before throwing the big boys at you.
