Re: October 2010 Test Prep
My 180, in which the only LR I missed was a stupid mistake, has made me into a motherfucker. I now am unhappy with anything worse than -0 on an LR section.
Not sure if that's good or bad <___<

If I don't get perfect on any game I touch I get royally pissed
I imagine it will be much the same for you. Prepare to hit your first against hard objects (street signs work well).

Re: October 2010 Test Prep
Just did my first test in the 40's... dropped into the 160's. 169, but still, that smarts. -4RC, -4LR, -1LR, -4LG.
Ah, prep test #43, you have humbled me.

Re: October 2010 Test Prep
I just did a LR section, got -1. I went back to the question and I had POEd all the answered but the right one, and marked the bubble wrong. Possibly the dumbest mistake possible. I will take the last minute of every section to make sure I bubbled in the right thing O.OAverageTutoring wrote:Yeah...you're screwed!Hannibal wrote:My 180, in which the only LR I missed was a stupid mistake, has made me into a motherfucker. Re: October 2010 Test Prep
I just planned out which PTs I'm taking each week from now until the actual test (which, by the way, is exactly 8 weeks away!). I've got about 4 tests per week until school starts again, 3 the first week, then 2 a week until the 9th.

Re: October 2010 Test Prep
I went back to Bible review and doing timed sections. Im so much more awesome at individual sections *sigh. I am doing everything possible to prep for endurance, but I dont think its working.
On the plus side, I got my first -3 RC today and am stoked. Also, I found a song on my bro's ipod that would normally tick me off but actually seems to be a great pre-PrepTest song, 'Stronger' by Kanye West, really gets me in the mood to kill the test...or the section anyways.

Re: October 2010 Test Prep
All my prep does is make me want to take MORE! MORE! MORE! sections/tests in order to score HIGHER! HIGHER! HIGHER!
I have to use a certain degree of self control just to keep myself from ruining tests by continuing even after I should be done for the day. Lol.

-1 LR section today on PT 21-2, following a terrible 163 on PT 40. Did LR get significantly harder in the later tests? My LR in PT 40 was -7 (WTF???) and -4 (which is within my usual range).

Re: October 2010 Test Prep
My sleep cycle has been officially fucked up. Bad because Im normally nocturnal and worked really hard to get normal for LSAT prep and exam. Thought Id try a section as Im up (because of idiotic drunk-dialler I hate) and I totally bombed it. Like -8. LSAT prep is such a fucking downer when you regress.
Plus side, a friend asked to buy my used LG and LR bible when Im done in Oct, with all the highlights/notes etc for 200 bucks! My notes/highlights are not worth that much imo, but interesting that she thinks so lol.

haha. Yes, DON'T wear a headband! I wore one yesterday to my boss's campaign picnic, and I had the WORST headache afterward. That is hilarious that you would point out the infamous headband headache. I personally think they're the worst kind!eit wrote:And I love Blair so much, lol. I'm actually disappointed I can't wear a headband to the test (don't want to chance a headache).

Wrapped up the teens today - 169, 165, 167, 168, 169, 165, 165, 170!, 173!!! Hoping the upward trend of the last two tests (# 16 & 18) hold steady or keep progressing as I enter the 30s. This controlled confidence feels good...if only rc could be more reliable (-2 to -8)

Yeah, I wouldn't ever. I wear headbands 90% of the time anyways, but I always wear them when I need extra self confidence or power (like presentations or whatever). Thus I'd like to wear one to the LSAT. But yeah... depending on the ones you wear, they kind of hurt behind the ears, lol. I don't usually get headaches from them, but they do cause some irritation haha.lparker wrote:haha. Yes, DON'T wear a headband! Re: October 2010 Test Prep
took prep test 52. Scored a 151. Totally missed 2 key deductions on lg, and took longer than expected, which led to my worst score in games to this point. Could not concentrate on LR and RC, and as a result, missed a ton of questions that I got right the second pass through. AFter the first 10 minutes of section 1, I had to fight myself to remain focused and concentrating on the exam. I wanted to stop taking the test, and just use it for timed sections, and spent about 5 minutes trying to convince myself to complete the test as a whole ( done right in the beginning of section 3.
Section rundown
1 ( later learned to be exp RC) -11
2 LG (-9- havent done this bad since the diagnostic)
3 LR- 10
4 RC -10
5 LR- 10
Has anyone had to contend with arguing with oneself to complete a prep test? I think I may be burning out, and need a day or 2 off, but Im not completely sure. My misses were all over the place, and i remember having to go back and re read questions because i was not focusing. Any suggestions for what I should do to fix this huge issue. I'm sure if I were to fully concentrate, i would score much higher. I think this test is starting to get the best of me.

Take a day off man. I feel you. I am having similar issues. I want above a 160 on test day, but my slowness is killing me. The slowness leads to frustration which even leads to a lower score. I am trying to accept the fact that I won't be getting a 170. I am just hoping for a 160 right now. For you it might be different, but for me I know I have to face the facts. I tried using this site to motivate me with all of these folks scoring a 170, but instead it started to frustrate me that I couldn't do it. I'm just going to do the best I can, and I will hope for things to work out.

My ear infection in my left ear was replaced by an ear infection with my right ear. Clearly I will score a 180 in 5 days.
