S1Q5: I hate the LSAC wankers. The correct answer is 'A', but nowhere in the text is it implied that the Europenization was "imposed" on African-American literature (it is implied, in fact, that it is an internal development in AA literature), and nowhere does the author discuss the aesthetic reasons for Europenization AT ALL.
I picked 'D' because I thought the requirement was appropriate for promotion of racial acceptance and integration (as the text specifically mentions), but not appropriate for the expression of "the vibrant folk culture of Black people". How is 'D' wrong? Can anyone explain this to me? You don't need to, I'm just venting.
S4Q12: "Which one of the following, if true, establishes that the doctor's second reason does not cancel out the first"?
This one I'm lost on. I have no idea what the question wants of me. Can someone explain?

Well, basically, he gives two reasons for why patients shouldn't see their records:Shrimps wrote:S4Q12: "Which one of the following, if true, establishes that the doctor's second reason does not cancel out the first"?

1. it wastes personnel time.
2. noone asks for the records anyway.
Except, the 2nd reason cancels out the first -- if noone asks for them, what's the big deal of it taking time?
The question is looking for something that if true, shows that the 2nd reason *doesn't* cancel out the first. (A) does that by noting that even though noone will ask for the records, they'll be expected to be retrieved anyway, and thus the time-waste aspect is an issue.

Ah, damn it. I got it. Thanks a lot. I was staring blankly at the question and then pretty much guessed and got it wrong.
