What was your base LSAT score? Forum

What did you score on your first practice LSAT test?

I recently took a practice test administered by Kaplan. I had never seen an LSAT problem before and only scored a 158. This seems very far from 170+ score I would like to achieve. Is this kind of jump probable/possible with significant study?

What was your base LSAT score and then your actual LSAT score?

Started at 149, ended at 165. not stellar, but that kind of 12+ point jump is doable with 6 months of study. take a class.

146 (base), 163 (real thing). Could have done much better on the real thing if my job would have let me use my vacation time in the days leading up to the LSAT. Can't wait to leave this place.

Never took a diagnosis, but my first PT after completing the powerscore bibles was a 160. I got a 170 on the real deal.

Totally doable. 158 cold is good. The LSAT gets easier with practice...lots of practice. I suggest you buy a general overview book, Kaplan or LSAC's, and every previously administered LSAT that is available (there are over 40). Save yourself the money and don't take a class. Give yourself 6 months, and approach your studying like a job an you'll do fine. The more you work with the material, the more you will identify your strengths and weaknesses. Set benchmark goals and go get it. Good luck!
