Are you referring to the 3 feet of snow and 65 mph winds impeding the intentions of LSAC employees to fulfill our
greatest desire?
NEVER!!!

For the love of God, and that person's sister's husband, I can't GET DRUNK on Monday. So if LSAC had any mercy, they would just send the scores today (FRIDAY). I can't take the anticipation anymore!
PLUS! My BF will be out of town on Monday. Who in the world will I celebrate/mourn with????

New to the forum here.
Crap, is it bad that I haven't seen my LSAT score yet and I'm already certain I'm retaking it in June?
To top it all off, work sucked this week and my husband is away on business. What the hell!
Someone end this agony. Someone? Anyone?
ANYONE????

Re: The Official February 2010 Waiting Thread
I think you missed my point. We both agree that there are plenty of CBT centers in the US to accommodate all LSAT-takers if the administrations are spread throughout the year. However, as it currently stands, there are only four versions of the LSAT produced each year (it could be as high as eight if all international LSAT's are unique from all US ones). In order to spread testing throughout the year, there would have to be many, many more tests created. If instead of having each test be an entity unto itself (which is very helpful for score scaling purposes), they decided to go to a model more like that of the GMAT, they would have to make significant, fundamental changes to the nature of the test. So you're either cramming 35,000 people into CBT centers, creating thousands of ad hoc centers, or reworking the entire test. None of those options seems particularly feasible.albanach wrote:You make that sound like a big number.bgdddymtty wrote: (2) find a way to ensure that test sites would all have the computers, software, firewalling/encryption, etc. to properly administer the test (as the existing dedicated computer-based testing centers surely do not have the capacity to accommodate the roughly 35,000 students who sit for each LSAT administration)
Let's say there's 240 days per year, Monday through Friday that you could sit the test. Other weekdays are holidays or snow days etc. Then estimate 130,000 taking the LSAT per year, that's 542 people a day. There's probably more than 540 Prometric sites in the US.
The capacity to accommodate the LSAT in existing computerized test centers already exists. I'd be astonished if the folk at LSAC aren't already working rapidly towards this. They have loads of unused international tests, many non-disclosed February tests and Saturday sabbath tests as well as all the experimental sections from which to draw. Computerized tests means no more worrying about snow days and their costs would be massively reduced.
Hopefully they will provide plenty of advance warning when the switch does come. It would suck to have spent six months preparing for a paper test then find out it will be in a completely different format.
There's also the issue of LSAC losing the ginormous income stream it receives from publishing rights to PrepTests.

5:13am. managed to stay up super late. in the midst of sleeping off this night and a long day yesterday, I expect my score to appear from the void. or at least some other people's so that I can spend the rest of the day anxious rather than the whole weekend.

I can't take any more LSAT dreams. I dreamt I got a great score and then woke up convinced I was getting into any school I wanted. This is pathetic.

I have officially lost my mind....I'm watching the weather channel. BOOING the bad weather....my roommate just text me and asked if I'm watching SC top 10.
On a high note...the weather girl isn't too bad on the eyes, and she's pretty entertaining.
I did happen to catch a glimpse of the roads in PA...lots of plows and salt trucks

Re: The Official February 2010 Waiting Thread
Sorry for my lack of understanding but what does LSAC being open have to do with the February 2010 Score Release?
Having taken it in December, my understanding was that the entire score release process was computerized and automated, thus why I received my scores when LSAC offices were closed for holiday break.
The only indicators I know of that signal that e-mailed scores are imminent, and this is probably been said many times by now, are the change in the document icon to something other than 'Not yet available' and the date in the 'Score E-mail Date' column changing to today's date.

Re: The Official February 2010 Waiting Thread
When I got my Dec. score they never changed the email date on LSAC. I remained the original day (monday) and I got my score Friday. I don't remember any change in the documents until I got my score. The only thing I remember people going crazy about was dashed lines around the score box. This was Dec. 08'.
I sure hope I don't have to wait until later tonight but I guess its better than waiting all weekend.

I remember in sept the "updated" changed to todays date RIGHT when scores were released. Considering this test is undisclosed will our document icons actually change? Also, has anybodys update date changed?krzyreeesh wrote:Sorry for my lack of understanding but what does LSAC being open have to do with the February 2010 Score Release?

Another thing people were pointing to was for the first time test takers, under applications - it changed from "you have no reportable score" to "you have a reportable score" on the test date.
