Did you ask the school to put a hold on your application pending your Feb. score? If not, they may complete the review prior to receiving your score, especially if they request paper reports. If you really want your February score considered, call or email the school to place a hold on your app.

Did you tell the school that you were taking again in February? In most cases they will wait to review it until they have your final score. As long as you don't get dinged by the school you should be fine. Just give them a call or shoot them an email telling them when your new score is available.

Anyone else heard of this or can provide further verification?
What? I don't get this... Or how it would affect our scores?

I suppose I shoud be more clear, I indicated on the app that I was retaking, but didn't do anything else. I JUST got the email so I replied and asked if it was possible to hold th review (hopefully scores are out by Friday) ***fingers crossed***

Due to the fact that I have been incessantly checking the LSAC site and these forums, I'm pretty sure my roommates, classmates, co-workers and family want my scores as much as I do...

....and I'm sure many of your peers share their sentiments...they don't understand!!!!

I retook in February too, and indicated on every completed application that I did. All of my applications are showing complete, but no activity because I believe they are waiting on the new score.

They don't unless you tell them. But they will get the new score regardless.

Not true. They know once you're registered.
I only told a few schools I was retaking in Feb. One school, which I had not informed, told me they were waiting for my February score when I asked them why, after 10 weeks being complete, my app tracker changed to incomplete.

most of the apps I filled out asked for your score and then any future tests you were registered for....I read somewhere that you should try to attach an addendum that reads something like "I will be taking the February LSAT" BUT of all the schools I applied to this is the only one that says my file is ready for review....and its my most recent submission.

Waiting sucks bonkey...just gimme my score.

I think its about time to start posting pictures of old ladies answering phones

I wrote a school to tell them I was taking Feb and they emailed me thanking me for telling them and saying they would put a hold on my application. Definitely didn't know I had registered. I think the difference is if you have registered for a future test BEFORE submitting the apps. If you have they see the next reg date. But if you submit and then sign up for the LSAT, i don't think LSAC updates the files.

ETA I can't find the thread but someone called LSAC and they confirmed this.

Tomorrow is going to suck
... hm Friday will probably suck worse.

Can you imagine how many times that status check link will be clicked tomorrow all across the country if they don't send out our scores till Monday? I imagine I will check it every 15 minutes for about 8 hours.

If the LSAC people care at all about our sanity, they must release our scores on Friday!!
(I hate that I just stated that in a conditional. ew)

It is my understanding that each LSAT consists of a collection of previously administered experimental sections, and that the curve of each test is based on the average performance of test takers on these sections combined over the course of a few separate administrations. Most, if not all, experimental sections are presented within the first three sections of the test.

not to be harsh, but that understanding is entirely incorrect.

question difficulty is what the experimental sections determine--so that when they make a section, its not 25 super easy questions. The curve is determined by how people performed on the ENTIRE test over the course of 8 administrations

So you are saying that the sections are not presented with the same 25 or so questions, as they were previously when they were experimental?

As I suspected, we're lagging WAY behind.
That's because the worst cycle in the history of law school applications has stamped out our will to live, much less care about the release date...

That would make me very happy. I am concerned about the snow storm that is expected in the northeast Thursday into Friday, and whether that could mean LSAC is closed on Friday, delaying scores until Monday. I'm not sure how much they are expecting in that area of PA, but they are calling for up to a foot or more in parts of NJ by Friday.
here's a link for the winter weather warning now in effect for Newton, PA:

TOTAL SNOW ACCUMULATIONS RANGING FROM 12 TO 16 INCHES ACROSS THE WARNED AREA. THIS IS THE TIME WHEN THE STORM WILL BE AT ITS STRONGEST AS WELL, WHICH WILL LEAD TO STRONG WINDS UP TO 30 MPH. THESE STRONG WINDS WILL LIKELY LEAD TO BLOWING AND DRIFTING SNOW, AS WELL AS SCATTERED POWER OUTAGES.

... fuck
