(updated with score) I'm freaking out just a little bit.
LSAC finally approved my fee waiver, which I figured would mean I could see my Dec LSAT score. I keep having dreams about it, and my score keeps dropping lower and lower, so I was happy as hell to finally put it to rest. With trembling hands I logged into LSAC.org on my phone, and...
No score. Called. Won't be available until (according to the dude on phone) exactly 3:14pm tomorrow.
It's like knowing the day you will die. Hopefully all of my deductive reasoning regarding fee waivers I have received as a result of this score holds true. My prediction: 171.

Its weird how waiting screws with your emotions. I was pretesting at 168 average for about a month before (studied 2.5 months). I left the test feeling i did better than average. Then over the month of Dec my score kept falling in my mind. I woke up some nights sure that I was getting a 155. Then I went through this fee waiver debacle.
I did get a Duke priority track invite, which usually means 169+, so I hope at least that holds true. I'll be ecstatic with anything over 170. Over 174 will open a lot of doors for me (splitter.)
Here's to hoping.

Good luck, dude. That's definitely agonizing.

Yes, yes, the one and only Fiona Apple. Apart from her coked-out self, her music is rather poetic. Don't advise listening to it while waiting though, unless you enjoy depression.

Was the fee waiver worth waiting this long + being late on apps?

Yes and no.
It will save me lots of money, which I have little of, and allow me to apply to many more schools.
But...I had already paid for the Dec LSAT, so I had no idea that the hold would affect something already taken. I wanted my Fall 09 grades on my transcripts (I'm a splitter so having a 3.9 semester helps), so its only going to put me behind a couple of days. I applied for it on a whim...if I had known that it was based on the amount of financial aid that I got in the last year (which it seems it is), I would have applied way earlier and not paid for the LSAT.
In the end, I'd say yes, its worth it, because I'll apply to more reaches and possibly get, where before I wouldn't have because I don't want to waste $100+ for a long shot.

Woke up to a 170. Pumped to break the 170, slightly disappointed its not higher. Happy in general.

for reference, you get reimbursed for your last LSAT, and you can take it again for free (though I doubt you will)

sweet. I'll have to call and figure out how to get some money back.
I think I'm going to apply right now and see how it goes, and if its not satisfactory I might retake in June and submit early next year.

thanks. I ended up missing 5 in my last LR section, where I average -2. I can't complain though. I hit my raw score average right on, and the curve boosted me a point or two to 170.

Haha you sound just like me. I was hoping to get higher but got a 169. I would have gotten 170 but I stupidly switched my answer on the inspectors question on the last minute. Still proud of my performance though, I did ace all the tough ones everyone was talking about (babies is E, mwahaha, etc...).
(I'm a splitter too, 3.4, 169).
