Nas, Tribe Called Quest, Hieroglyphics, The Pharcyde, Outkast, etc blow way Dre and Bone Thugs. 2Pac and Biggie are great, but there's a lot better.nondescript wrote:Yeah, I just started really looking into Nas and getting back into older hip hop. Re: The Official October Waiter's Oasis
172! close to the best case scenario i had after taking this test.
my two cents:
this was my second take. i thought i got sucker-punched by the LG section (which i studied for hardest and which was the last one for me) after guessing on a bunch and felt blindsided and just terrible afterwards. i had thought i killed the rest of the test but you never know, anything can happen. thought my range was anywhere from 162 to 175. ended up not cancelling after settling down and thinking about it for a couple days. only ended up missing 6 on the games.
bottom line to any future test-takers: if you feel pretty bad, give yourself a bit of time to calm down after the test and mull it over; don't just focus on the stuff you think you messed up on, the stuff you did well on matters too!; and unless you're really confident you straight up bombed relative to your expectations, you should probably keep your score (and cross your fingers).
now ofc the question is whether to take it a third time...
BUT THAT'S NOT A QUESTION FOR TONIGHT!

Rechecked my item response report & y'all are right - I got a -10 overall. I tallied the individual sections up wrong. Probably because I don't have my glasses on at the moment and the D/B's look rather similar.RZ5646 wrote:Can confirm, got -7 = 175ffamran wrote:Uhh something's wrong, a -7 is not a 172mindatwork wrote:172. I'm in complete shock, considering I got a 166 in June and my highest PT was 171. I went:
LR1: -2
LR2: -2
RG: -2
LG: -1
The logic games score is the most surprisingly considering I fudged my way through the second game. But I'll happily take it!

I have music blaring through my basement speakers. I'm pretty happy. 156 -> 170. I'm not a smart person. I am also now drunk.

Random question guys, this is really bugging me on my ps: is it "as an Asian-American" or "as an Asian American?" I know latter is used a lot but isn't former technically correct?

Took the LSAT twice so far, and planned on having apps done very soon, but I'm retaking in Dec now.
Can you apply and then take in Dec? What if they make a decision by the time we get Dec scores back? Can you negotiate scholarship if I got higher in Dec (assuming I got accepted and had 3-4 point jump in Dec?)

I actually studied and looked at questions and books. Manhattan LR + 7Sage videos + drilling packets. I should have done better too.daDudeAbides28 wrote:just curious, what were your strategies for your improvement? The Abyss wrote:I have music blaring through my basement speakers. I went through the powerscore bibles gradually over the summer and didn't do a lot PTs until close to the exam and I think that's what hurt me. Anyways congratulations on your score! The Abyss wrote:I actually studied and looked at questions and books. Manhattan LR + 7Sage videos + drilling packets. Yeah, look at Manhattan LR for LR and 7Sage for LG. They made the most sense for me. RC is a crapshoot but I happened to be alright at it. Just drill baby drill.daDudeAbides28 wrote:I went through the powerscore bibles gradually over the summer and didn't do a lot PTs until close to the exam and I think that's what hurt me. Re: The Official October Waiter's Oasis
Yo guys, so I got a 165. I needed a 162 and expected a 165-167.
I went:
-10 on LR (-6 on LR1 -4 on LR2)
-5 on RC
-4 on LG
All 4 on LG were game 3. Guess that game really screwed me over.
Overall, pretty happy though
