Re: The Official December 2015 Study Group
I know it sounds cliche, but I saw the biggest increase in time and efficiency when I focused on diagramming. After every LG test that I do, if I go over time or don't get a perfect score I watch 7sage and see how he diagrams it. A good diagram will make inferences incredibly more transparent than a mediocre one. I'll trade you my LG score for your two RC scoresflash21 wrote:hmm may just focus on the other PT's I have even though I've seen them all. I still have a lot to improve on.
When I say to you guys that I honestly do not believe I suck at games, but got -9 on October, do you guys think I'm just deluded? My PT range for games was -4 to sometimes even -10. I've drilled sooo much, I'm not sure if I freeze up completely with new games or what. I'm not really sure how to fix an issue like this, games is really a unique problem for me in that sense which is only made worse by others tlser's dominating it so consistently , lol.

I didn't get to sleep until 3 AM and only got several hours of sleep before work. I knew today was going to be a slow day so I could do an LSAT, but now I'm sitting in the office trying to wakeup and utilize the time I have instead of being in a half dead haze. The struggle is real.

Every time I need motivation to study, I look at my UVA fee waiver from my mediocre 163 (-6 from PT score). Really need to crack down on uncharacteristically awful LR sections! But Applying to Boston just to get the ball rolling, my apps are in a total mess, redrafted my PS like 50 times...part of the reason being it was hard for me to pick a topic because I really still am learning about who I am/want to be

Sorry for the string of posts, I'm across the world and all the normal people are sleeping right now. When you BR, do you only do the ones that you were uncertain about or do you do all of the questions?

That's awesomeMint-Berry_Crunch wrote:Soooo not LSAT related. But I have an autistic kid on my team, and today was out last home game. His parents are very Korean, barely speak English and they actually came to his game today to take pictures. So I went over and got the other team to agree to let him score and he did!
It was really scary because the shot clock was going to expire, but the ref had them reset it... And then he missed his first shot but the goalie "dropped" it and gave it back to him... It was really great. He came out and said "how was I so open!?!" so I was worried he figured it out, but i guess he didn't (you're just very sneaky!!). He's gunna post it on Instagram and Facebook, he was so happy I almost cried.

i circle the ones that im uncertain about, so i definitely go over that. for the other questions, i skim over the stimulus and the right answer.kylemolodets wrote:Sorry for the string of posts, I'm across the world and all the normal people are sleeping right now. Perfect, that will help a lot.
I did my first BR earlier this week and did the whole test again, and it was miserable.

Re: The Official December 2015 Study Group
Is this for next week? Looks good! If your biggest problem areas are LR, I would focus on drilling necessary assumption and sufficient assumption question types (if you have Cambridge packet) What section does the annotation method pertain to? RC?pleadthafif wrote:What does everyone think of this study schedule? My biggest problem areas are LR (Assumption family specifically) and RC. LG is consistently between 0, -2. I also want to work on that annotation method mentioned earlier ITT by a 7Sage instructor.
Mon: LR (drill by question type)
Tues: LR (drill by question type, 1 full section)
Wed: RC (drill by passage type)
Thur: RC (drill full sections)
Fri: OFF (maybe one LG section?)
Sat: 5-section PT (under test conditions, begin at 8:30am)
Sun: BR
Trying to prevent burnout so looking at max 3 hours per day. Is that enough?

Re: The Official December 2015 Study Group
Since I'm done with MBT for LR, I am moving onto Weaken Q types. Had a lot of trouble with the capital market question.
I also finished chapter 9 of the Manhattan RC book and I saw that one of the passages used in that chapter was from PT 53. So i'll go do the other remaining 3 passages for PT 53.
On a different note, I am experimenting with the idea of taking melatonin (the lowest dose possible-- only enough to have me not wake up at awkward hours like 3, 4am)

Re: The Official December 2015 Study Group
I would like a schedule like this as well....I feel like I need to focus mainly on drilling at this point. When you drill how long do you do it for, how many questions at a time, etc?pleadthafif wrote:Thanks for the reply! I was planning on sticking to this schedule every week until Dec test. Should I mix it up? I just got the Cambridge PT21-40 LR by question type, so I'm going to re-read the respective chapter in Manhattan LR and then drill those question types. I will definitely be focusing on NA and SA, but I think all Assumption family questions should help to identify gaps in logic.december1205 wrote:Is this for next week? Looks good! The annotation method is for RC, and I think it was mentioned earlier in this thread by Bromandude.

Anyone else been a total slacker since the Oct test? I feel like I have an LSAT hangover that's worsened by working on my apps. I've spent MAYBE a couple of hours on LSAT stuff since this month...
