PT 47 was a disaster for me. Scored 164. Went -0 LG and -2 on RC and LR was just fucked. LR1 was especially bad at -9. Hangover might have had something to do with it, but something with LR just isn't clicking.

Re: The Official October 2015 Study Group
Only on the easy ones. It seems like a lot of strengthen/weaken arguments are good enough to work in the real world, so there's no single obvious flaw to be found, and accordingly trying to prephrase TCR is a waste of time.somethingelse55 wrote:Question for you guys:
When you're doing strengthen or weaken questions, do you figure out the "flaw" with the argument before you even look at the answer choices?
I do this for Flaw questions as well as sufficient + necessary and it seems to help a lot, but I find it tougher to do with strengthen/weaken.

It's way more difficult to figure out a flaw with the less obvious ones. The LSAT is very clever, sometimes they will give you an obvious flaw, but it turns out the CR is something else, something more subtle.somethingelse55 wrote:Question for you guys:

I find that it works better when I get a clear sense of the premises and the conclusion and stick close to the task when I start to eliminate answer choices. Sometimes the flaw is subtle or unexpected so it's really important to know what the argument is and what you're supposed to do. I think after awhile and if you have been properly BRing, and putting much thought into these questions, patterns begin to emerge.

Checking in! Took in June and scored below practice averages. So I'm studying for a retake in Oct. Just bought the drill packets...hopefully they help!

Re: The Official October 2015 Study Group
So, just took my first timed PT since the June test. -4 on LR, -0 RC.... and a whopping -7 on LG (missing all 7 questions on the last game). Not sure whether I should be excited at my progress on the other sections or frustrated that I continue to struggle so much with Games. At least there are ~3 months left for drilling!

resisted this for a while, but realized that a stupid bubbling error due to a test-center specific disruption cost me my 170 in june.
