Re: February 2014 Waiters
Does anyone know the process LSAC goes through with grading and returning these exams over the 3 weeks? Like I assume the first week is just collecting and organizing the LSATs from all the different test centers. Then some kind of mass grading the second week (I'm picturing the scantron-reading machine from hell.) Then calculating the curve. By the third week, it's just figuring out the re-takers, dealing with individual test problems, and digitizing (word?) all the information.
Idk though. Wonder if anyone has any inside information. Also frustrating to think that they have my score, but the need for mass distribution on one day prevents me from accessing it.

Curve is known before the test is given. That's why it's not really a curvegeneralmead wrote:Then calculating the curve.

Re: February 2014 Waiters
I suspect that the actual scantron reading for the Feb exams will be handled in about half a day.
The curve is already done, for those of us who took on the original plan date, even with shipment of the test books and forms to the home office, our scores have been known and on the books for over a week.

I think I'm over my score anxiety, and now I'm just excited to know! Is March 5th the absolute latest we will get our scores?

This wait is suffocating. I just want to know if I'm going to have to renew my residency in LSAT purgatory.
In the case of a good score, what are you guys planning on doing? I think I'm gonna treat myself to a nice steak dinner with some friends, buy myself a new pair of running shoes, and possibly a new video game (and destroy what's left of my paycheck).

I know my score is going to be terrible. I just want it back so I can use it for motivation while studying for September's exam.

Barring any natural disasters, yes. The only time they've come out late was due to Hurricane Sandy.MidwestLifer wrote:I think I'm over my score anxiety, and now I'm just excited to know! Is March 5th the absolute latest we will get our scores?
This exactly. Not knowing whether or not I'll have to go back to the LSAT grind is killing me. Though, if I do end up having to retake in June, I'll be mad that I didn't utilize this month-long period of freedom.scandk wrote:This wait is suffocating. I haven't really thought about self-rewards for getting a good score. Fantasizing about that in addition to the score itself would probably just make me all the more miserable if I get a below-target score...

If i get a decent score, I have to think about whether it is worth it to take the plunge.
I have been planning on if i have to retake in June havent even considered the possibility of a good score

Re: February 2014 Waiters
Oh true, I'll definitely be getting rid of all my LSAT stuff if I get a good score. It's all stacked up on a shelf in the corner. I'll probably just sell mine though, I don't even know where I would go about setting a fire hahaalecks wrote:if I got a good score I'm burning all my LSAT books, quitting my job, and going to Paris.

If it all pans out and no retake is necessary, I'm going to do nothing. And not feel guilty about doing nothing. And it will be glorious.

Yeah, definitely. Although we could also look at it as relaxing to prevent burn out...yeah who am I kidding, I'll be pissed.xylocarp wrote: if I do end up having to retake in June, I'll be mad that I didn't utilize this month-long period of freedom.

Drafting LOCI's...
I just feel like I'm in an airport waiting area. It's kind of miserable.
When I get back my (sure to be amazing) score, I'm going to take a nice, long nap.

For everyone wanting to burn their LSAT books (strategy guides, I mean), please don't. Give them to future test-takers and perhaps give them away on TLS?

Seriously this is what's up. Spread the love; I'm sure anyone who wants the materials would be delighted to pay shipping. Burn your used PT's -- give away the goods.WaltGrace83 wrote:For everyone wanting to burn their LSAT books (strategy guides, I mean), please don't.
