I was very happy!

Only thing I'm unhappy with is that first LR but whatever. I think being over both of Cornell's 75 and URM should get me a fully or pretty close and at the end of the day that's all I really need.

Are you set on HYS now?
I screwed up the first LR too. I think that warming up more or actually doing PTs in the morning like you're supposed to would have gotten me a couple more points. But whatever. It's over, and I don't think a 176 or 177 is really much better than a 175 anyway.

H would certainly be nice, but then I notice that I'm checking my bank account to see if I have enough money to pay for LSAC's CAS thing, and I realize that a T20 full ride would probably be a better choice. Cornell is actually one of my top choices, so if they offer me a full scholly or close to it, I could very well end up there with you.
Start emailing schools about fee waivers now. We'll get them. RZ if I remember you GPA right, you'll get great scholarships from better than Cornell probably. You're golden right now, congrats.

169

RC: -6 LR1: -4 LG: -4 LR2: -0

About 5 less than expected.

Kindaaaa disappointed, but I'm a black male so I'm not trippin too hard. No HYSC with a 3.2, buuut hopefully NYU or if I'm lucky Penn will show mercy.

I'm prepping all of my emails now. Only vaguely concerned I will come off as neurotic soliciting fee waivers 30 minutes after getting my score lol.

Thanks! If you retake, I hope you can hit the 171+ you wanted. I haven't decided. If my friend retakes, I'll probably retake for Dec because having a study buddy makes the whole thing so much more tolerable and I really want H which I don't think I can get without the PR boost.
I don't have it in me to retake in December, even though I could. Maybe Feb, but I need a break to hang out with my wife and son.

Do you just cold email admissions@law.whatever.edu and ask for one? And thanks a lot man... I worked hard and carefully for 3 years to get that GPA, and I guess now's the time to cash it in :D

You have a very solid GPA, don't you? I feel like it wasn't anything catastrophic so I would be really shocked if you didn't pull some serious money somewhere higher than Cornell, NYU comes to mind.
Yep, like well over all 75ths. But my softs aren't great and supposedly more people are applying this year, so I'm trying to stay sober and not get my hopes too high.

Yeah, I wish I didn't fuck up my GPA by being dumb my freshman year.

Email scores saying "Hey my name is blah blah, my LSAC account # is whatever and my GPA and LSAT are whatever and I was wondering if I could get a merit fee waiver. Thank you for your time, blah blah." Clean it up but something like that.

Basically. Here's the suggested format from the admissions forum
Fee Waiver Request Email:
Re: Application Fee Waiver

Hello,

I have a quick question – I was wondering if School X offered merit-based application fee waivers, and if I would qualify for one. My information is:

LSDAS GPA: x.xx

LSAT SCORE: xxx

LSAC ACCOUNT NUMBER: Lxxxxxxxx

Thank you for your time,

Hopeful Law Student
Lol @ every T20 adcom getting a hundred variants of this email by the morning lol.

Also thanks for the encouragement above! I'm really hoping this cycle goes well for both of us.

That is such an awful feeling but now that you have your first take over with, you'll prob score much closer to your average on your retake.

At a loss for what I'm supposed to do.

Signed up for Dec, but I am leading one of our university's design team and have been working 12 hours a day for the past two weeks just trying to meet our Dec deadline. I have absolutely no fucking clue whatsoever how I'm going to do this while preparing for LSAT.

Worst thing is that having a non-disclosed test means I don't even know how I screwed up this badly.

Yep, leading the team while designing the whole of the suspension system and steering, and our design freeze comes in early November.

Seriously? What are you waiting for?

Now there's a charge.
