Getting questions wrong is giving me a lot of negative feelings that I dont know what to do with (that won't be constructive). Any advice for when you're feeling really bad about your performance?

Do share. My method now is to take it slow but that usually means I'm cutting it really close to time.PhiladelphiaCollins wrote:Finally got back into the PT game after 3.5 weeks off to do apps. Managed a 170 on PT70, which I’m pretty happy about a month out. It was a re-test, but I took it at the public library where a woman sat next to me and had a full conversation on the phone in Arabic through my whole LG section...
Think I FINALLY have a strategy which works for me in RC, which is a massive relief

BARRY! Life is ok, I'm dying between working 15 hour of overtime each week that was supposed to stop Oct 1, studying, apps, and physical therapy. How about you?
Please tell me you're not here because of a shitty proctor again...

That SUCKS. Hopefully physical therapy is progressing smoothly. Is it a pretty serious injury, or will you be back in shape in a few months?Experiment626 wrote:Barry grandpapy wrote:How's life y'all?

Tore my Achilles a few months ago. Prevented me from retaking in September to get the points I left on the table in June so December had to be retake time which sucks for my application timeline plan. I was planning on having everything done and submitted by now... Long road to full recovery. I can walk but serious exercise and stuff is a no go. Not allowed to ride a bike on the streets, but can at the gym. Not even allowed on the elliptical yet...Barry grandpapy wrote:That SUCKS. Hopefully physical therapy is progressing smoothly. Dude I'm sorry to hear that. But you're gonna crush Dec., get better during recovery, and all will be right in the worldExperiment626 wrote: Tore my Achilles a few months ago. But don't do what my buddy did and play bball as soon as you can and tear your ACL.

Ive never owned a Lexus, but Ive heard that it costs quite a bit to maintain them especially compared to cars like Hondas or Toyotas. Might be something to consider moving forward.littlewing67 wrote:I've been taking it semi-easy this week. The biggest cut is healing up a bit and hurts a lot less so I think I will continue my PT schedule Monday and get back on track. I'm fine with that anyways as I started the Manhattan LSAT book this week. Doing Fox + Cambridge drills while doing each chapter in Manhattan LR. -0 on Fox Nec. Assumption but I've done these problems before. Doing them untimed. I am starting to see patterns in nec. assumption questions. Like between defender answers and answers that close the gap. Suff assumptions questions are my shit so sometimes I think with nec assumption I try too hard to close the gap and the answer I may choose is something that strengthens or is more than needed and not necessary for the argument. Doing flaw questions now. Flaw questions can get tricky when you can't predict exactly what the flaw is. My weakest question types thanks to 7sage are weaken, strengthen, nec. assumption and flaw. Trying to get better at these types.

Also, I'm looking into buying a new car. Something under $8k. Thinking Lexus, Honda, or Toyota. Any suggestions?? I'm debating something sporty like a coupe, but if I end up somewhere snowy for law school I'm going to want something that can drive in the snow.

I'm avoiding sports til March. Yea, hoping to crush it in Dec, my average has gone from like 166 to 171ish. Hoping to get it higher this last month so that the usual 2-3 point drop for test day keeps me at 170.

I do that too, but I make sure I absolutely understand the paragraph before moving on, even if I have to look at a few sentences again. On PT70 yesterday I think I spent ~4mins on the CJD passage, but then the questions weren't much of a problem after thatpeege wrote:Do share. The other thing I found (that takes some practice) is minimizing back-reading for everything except specific line reference questions. I found I'm really flying through the questions when I'm not using the passage as a crutch.
That's a nice score in spite of the LG though. What are you shooting for in December?Mikey wrote:PT 68

170 or higher would be nice, but I'd be content with a 167 and would confidently apply since my GPA and URM status will do me well lmao

Haven't done this PT yet but I just briefly took a look at the games. Games 1,2, and 4 seem reasonable, but game 3 seems ridiculously hard. Upon first glance it looks like a grouping game with sub categories?? But Im not really sure. I think over the next month Im really gonna hit games hard. Would hate to have one miscellaneous game ruin my score just because I haven't seem them enough.Mikey wrote:PT 68

Re: The Official December 2017 Study Group
Don't think I've looked at 68's games. I know I feel rusty with not doing a lot of games with my prep to shore up LR and RC. I think I'm going to start doing a LR section a day and alternate between LG/RC as a 2nd section each day between my weekly full PTs on Saturdays.MercW07 wrote:

game 3 sucked, but I was confident in all questions except 1 (I did this game last because it looked weird and ran out of time for 1 question). game 4 isn't what it seems, just a heads up since you already looked at the section lolMercW07 wrote:Haven't done this PT yet but I just briefly took a look at the games.
