The conventional TLS advice is to take at least a year off in between undergrad and law school.SweetTort wrote:Do any of you know if there's a problem in graduating the SUMMER before law school? Like, graduate in late July, enroll in August?

Probably not.SweetTort wrote: Sure, but I'm just asking if it would create any problems with enrollment or anything.

It will be 2 full years when I enroll for Fall 2016. Probably not as long as a gap as most people here but I think it's a good amount of break for me.I<3ScholarlySweets! wrote:nlee10; how many years are you taking off?

In that respect, K-JDs have a hard time being employed at OCI because of a general lack of work experience. That's primarily what made me wait a couple years. You don't have to work at a full-time office job to count as work experience. Look into internships, or long-term volunteer programs like Teach for America.SweetTort wrote: Mad respect for not being K-JD. I'm just, like, completely unemployable, so there are very few options.
what's winter break?SweetTort wrote:Anyone else seriously dreading winter break? Just... way too much family time. Thank God for LSAT prep.
I don't see how this would be a problem. As long as you are accepted and graduate before starting law school I don't think it matters when you graduate. I will be graduating in June and starting law school in August right after in 2016.SweetTort wrote:Do any of you know if there's a problem in graduating the SUMMER before law school? At what school do career counselors just give out jobs? And I don't think you should just prescribe a year off for everyone with out knowing them or their situation.I<3ScholarlySweets! wrote:SweeTort; i highly recommend you take at least one year off. Go to your career services office at your school and discuss with a career counselor your options. Usually they can hook you up with a respectable gig.
