If I'm drinking to get drunk, there's nothing better than wine. You can drink it like water and damn it's effective. Also I've never had a wine hangover but there are certain brands of rum that I can't drink anymore because I felt so terrible after.
As far as what I prefer to drink--definitely whiskey: I had a small collection of A+ bourbons for a while but they're almost all gone. :/

Not really a poll idea, but I’m wondering what career path people would choose if not law schoolBarry grandpapy wrote:

I'd be down for a Chicago meet up sometime. I hate NYC and I feel like Chicago is somewhat central in the grand scheme of things.

Piano player. Specifically honky-tonk / jazz. Hopefully I'll find the time in retirement to really perfect this.chewinggum wrote:Not really a poll idea, but I’m wondering what career path people would choose if not law schoolBarry grandpapy wrote:

probably not, I think next week we can start getting excited lol.jthel08 wrote:Anyone thinking this week could be the week for gray? Or is the following going to be more realistic...? #PrayForGray
idk if scores will even be released early though, considering the delayed administrations such as for Florida due to the hurricane. I may be wrong and it may all be on schedule or before, but idk.

The data on past releases doesn't tell us a ton, but the only actual late release in recent years was when the LSAC office itself was closed for several days due to Sandy. Other times that there have been on-target rather than early releases have involved weather events affecting test centers, which is what we had this time. I think there's a strong argument that we're likely to see a release that's not as early as usual, but it's hard to see how we get to late.jthel08 wrote:I was thinking that too. Not sure what sort of bet you mean, but I think we could get a good poll out of the release date. Use Oct 6-Oct 13, plus "sooner" and "later" options.twiix wrote:Anyone want to make a 1 week tar bet on the date of scores starting to be released?wmbuff wrote:The data on past releases doesn't tell us a ton, but the only actual late release in recent years was when the LSAC office itself was closed for several days due to Sandy. Same. Also, two major law schools which'll have admitted students days (which we all will hopefully be invited to, please be nice adcoms...)twiix wrote:I'd be down for a Chicago meet up sometime. I hate NYC and I feel like Chicago is somewhat central in the grand scheme of things.

A little off topic, but we just had Law Day at Michigan, which is when a bunch of law schools come and set up booths in the Union for students to grab info packets/talked to admissions officers. I gotta say, Vanderbilt is intriguing me. I'm ultimately trying to end up in New York, and they sent as many graduates to New York last year as they did to Tennessee. They've sent 13% of their graduates from 2012-2016 to New York. They've also been in the top 10 in % of class sent to federal clerkships in recent years, and their academic programs seem really interesting. I already know I like the campus because I applied their for undergrad, and I've already got the numbers to get in there regardless of how I did on September. Did not expect to be so interested in them.
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
