LG: - 3 (Ran out of time right before the last question)
LR 2: - 6 (Ran out of time before the last 2)
RC - 6: (5 minutes called before last passage)

Score 164.

I am a bit perplexed as to why I run out of time; during timed drilling I am always quick (2-3 minutes early, every section), but can't seen to put it together on test day. During drilling I usually mix a max of 3 during a section - super weird...

Alas, I will review and learn from my mistakes!
how many PTs have you done?
5 total - 2 in the past 2 weeks.

it's normal to not do as good on your beginning PTs as you do on your drills. as you get used to taking full length PTs, you'll do just as good as you do during drills! but you should probably have seen at least some improvement over those 5 PTs!

I have seen improvement from a 160, so that is comforting.

For me, it was mainly getting LG under control, which I did by endless drilling. Now I need to go back to drilling LR and RC.

Man. After studying all week (pretty much 9-5 w/ breaks in between), I slept in today till 10:00, ran a couple errands, then sat down to begin studying, but I just couldn't get it together and focus. I decided I'm going to take the day off and go at it again tomorrow.

Are y'all (<=== notice the y'all? Anyone else representing Texas here? :p) taking a day or two off from your studies? I feel like it's necessary for me to prevent burn out thru the week, yet I feel guilty for even taking a day off from what will up till now be the biggest exam of my life :/

I think that is better in order to get a feel for test day, but shit, I just felt worn out. I think I'll just try and get back at it later or continue tomorrow. Should have studied for a bit in the morning, but my lazy ass slept in. Damn. Thank you.

Btw, Odrama, I tried the push-up thing during the break. Definitely regained my focus. Gonna start doing it before the test and during the break.

Taking Sunday off is what I've been doing. It gives me some time to do other things I enjoy. I have been trying to read through some books and maybe do a section everyday though. I have all the Powerscore Bibles, the Manhattan LSAT book set, and the Trainer plus PT 40-74 +Cambridge Packets. I feel like I have to read/drill something or else I'll never get through all of them. Also, IDK if I am being paranoid, but I feel like if I don't do at least something LSAT related daily or I'll develop atrophy and forget techniques I've learned. So maybe I'll put in an hour or two tomorrow depending on how burned out I am. However I think I'd rather forget a few things than become burnt out.

Been drilling simple ordering games yesterday and today after reading the chapter in the LG Bible. I think I'm going to review them with 7Sage. I seem to be getting most of them no problem, but my speed is really bad. For most it takes me 15 minutes, if not more. UGH :? Hopefully the MLSAT LG book can help me get more efficient as far as answering the questions. I feel like some questions I have to write out every possible answer in, then see if it works. So slow...My diagramming is certainly getting better. Time to drill, drill, and drill some more. Cambridge packets are eating up all my printer ink!

Congrats on everyone who took PTs today and did well! I am going to wait until I can do logic games a bit better before I bother, otherwise I'd probably get through 2 games. I am hoping by July I can be PT'ing. I bought 40-77 in hopes of doing them all before the test date.

So drill and review is the recommended way to get that 176? You're not far from a 180 now!

Nice! It has definitely helped me, especially with focus! I'm glad to hear it :D

Also, nice job on your PT today. I would kill to be scoring like that! 180 is in your sights!

I'm from Louisiana if that counts, and I feel ya on wanting to take the day off. I literally didn't sleep at all last night, just studied and drilled through the night, and I'll admit its been tough today finding the energy and motivation to get back to work. I think I'll probably PT tomorrow morning and then Blind Review the rest of the day.

Admire the dedication! I just feel like sometimes when I stay up all night drilling, or doing something LSAT related, it not only burns me out, but you aren't really working at full capacity. And then the next day when you're tired, you risk making stupid mistakes and just not performing your best. IDK that's just me. At least try to get some sleep tonight so you can hit it hard tomorrow. But, in any case, never feel guilty about taking a day off. I have heard from every LSAT tutor on and off this site that often taking a day break helps you in the long run..

I think it's important that, in addition to studying, one keeps a very regimented schedule in order to prep for the LSAT. Like, scheduled workouts, bedtimes, healthy eating, etc. It definitely helps to have a healthy routine.

are you able to retain the information from all those resources enough to where you don't have to review what you've just read from those resources?

I have the bibles and 7Sage's curriculum, and I find one thing that does slow me down a bit is reviewing what I've previously covered on other days for about 30 minutes so it can be well retained and I won't forget.

Seriously? What are you waiting for?

Now there's a charge.
