Re: June 2014 Retakers
I would say 171+. It's always been that. First take was 168 and the retake a little lower. Haven't looked at anything since December, but I think I might've been exhausted from the 8 straight months of prep I did. I'm going to do a PT and if it sucks, then I'll consider September. But I'd really prefer June because I could shove a higher score in a t14's face for a bigger scholarship.Learn_Live_Hope wrote:Welcome! That's awesome.coldsteady wrote: I'm uncertain whether or not this is a reasonable solution for you, but you could consider moving your prep time to the morning. If you lose motivation at night, you're unlikely to maximize returns on your time/energy investment. Alternatively, you could go to bed when you normally crash, then wake up early and start prepping after breakfast. In short, treat every morning like it's test day. Chances are you will be taking the LSAT in the morning anyway, so it is advantageous to condition your brain to operate at full throttle at that time of day. I work 55-60 hours per week and have two very young children. I always crash after putting the kids to bed, so prepping at night proved inefficient. I moved my prep time to early in the morning on my prep days, and that 8-9 am start on test day was a breeze. That early a.m. alarm sucks, but the prospect of scholarship $$$ is a strong motivator. FWIW, I ended up with a 171. Given that I didn't have a great deal of available free time to prepare, I was pleased with the result.

Doing a PT today. Suggestions for which PT for getting back into it? I'm considering Dec's test that I sucked on, but I don't know.

If you haven't been studying, you are "Wasting" a "nearly" fresh test (presuming you didn't review it after you got your score- which I didn't do in October, knowing I'd be retaking).
Maybe something in the Mid-50s?

Re: June 2014 Retakers
Agreed, I would start with 53 since a bunch of people itt are on that one now and you can get some support going forward. Plus I would save the December test so that you can take it the week before walking into June and crush the test that roughed you up a few months ago. Always good to walk into the LSAT brimming with confidence!rebexness wrote:I wouldn't, and here's why-Otunga wrote:Old schooljk148706 wrote:Wwwooooooooooo welcome Otunga! Re: June 2014 Retakers
So I did PT50 last week and PT48 today, here is my breakdown
PT50:
RC -10
LR1 -6
LR2 -6
LG -6
PT48
RC -11
LR1-9
LR2-10
LG -2
LG
I have been drilling LG for the past month and I am seeing alot of improvement, I am taking the 7sage course and that has helped alot so I am confident that I can get to -0 (consistently) by June. The difference in score between PT50 and PT48 is a result of speed. I realized that I had to get faster and so I did some timed sections and drills for a week and was able to improve my score. Also the -2 are questions that I did not even attempt as I skipped those in the interest of time. (I always get -0 when I blind review).
Game plan:DRILL+7sage videos
LR
I only started drilling LR this week so I expect to see some improvement in the upcoming weeks. The good news is that after PT50 my two of my weak areas were MSS and MBT so I completed the 7sage syllabus for those topics and drilled them during my lunch hour at work. For PT48 I had 100% accuracy for those questions. FYI Speed is a major major major issue for me in LR, 75% of my ncorrect answere are questions that I did not attempt due to time.
Game plan: Read 7sage syllabus for weak areas+ Drill
RC
I have not been drilling or focusing on RC at all. I plan to start at the beginning of May.
Game plan: Read LSAT Trainer section on RC+ Read 7sage RC syllabus+Drill
My question is given that 1) I am seeing huge improvements every week and 2) I may get 1 month leave from work in May, do you all think that I should still try to aim for the June exam?

This is an interesting link:

70% of the answers to the top 20 hardest LR questions (according to powerscore's research) of all time is (A).
Edit: and (E) was the correct answer 0% of the time.
