this is a dumb question but do you guys go through your correct answers while drilling or just cover the incorrect answers. for example, i did level 1 and level 2 questions of prinicple identify (57 questions) and missed 2. do i spend time going through all the 57 and identifying correct answer choices and why or just focus on the 2 i missed. i think i have a solid understanding of the question type; i basically look for an answer choice that within the scope of the argument and covers all basses for the conclusion to occur. i essentially treat principle identify questions as sufficient assumptions. is this wrong?

I only go over the correct answers I wasn't 100% sure of, if that helps.

DivineJustice wrote:Took an LR section from pt 52 today. Took a -4. Two of my wrong answers were Weaken questions, and the other two were on MSS. Does anyone have tips for how to approach weaken sections? Every section or PT I take, that question always happens to be one of the wrong answers I get. Going to take an RC section (untimed) tomorrow and tell you guys how I do. Excited to take another PT this weekend to finally see some good results and hopefully not a terrible RC score.

The guy above me inspired me to make goals for this week:

1. Keep drilling and reviewing weaken question types
2. Start drilling LG again. Finish linear games this week. I'm set with LG but there has to be a reason I can't knock my score down to -0.
3. Drill MSS and MBT questions
4. Complete and review two untimed RC sections.
Hey DivineJustice,

Weirdly, I find myself doing very well on strengthen and weaken questions, but worse on flaw questions.

Obviously, you have to find the gap in the argument/the assumption/the flaw/ whatever you want to call it.

One tip that helps me on weaken questions is to prephrase AN answer. My prephrase probably won't be THE CREDITED RESPONSE, but it gets me thinking in terms of how to make the conclusion less likely from the premises, and I have found that it helps.

Interestingly, prephrasing an answer seems to help me on resolve the paradox questions as well, and those used to give me a ton of trouble.

Hope that helps!

Was hoping I wouldn't be on this thread, but here I am. Got a 166 today, after PTing in the 170s. Have to prep more seriously this time around.

Yeah, I thought it was harder than usual. I'm hoping my poor performance was mainly nerves. Feeling like Peyton Manning after the Super Bowl right now... :|

Okay I get that this is a rookie question but I just need some clarification please.

I've been working through my powerscore LGB and was wondering how to start drilling next.

1. Where do I get all the problems?
2. Does Cambridge or someone like that sell them in packages that have certain problems grouped? (IE, grouping, linear, advanced) etc?

Thanks in advance!

Is it a bad stratergy to not review questions that I got correct because I knew what the wrong answers were and why and just chose the one left and confirmed it and moved on.

-2/10 on both. Probably need more drilling material for these kinds of questions. Not too good at this conditional logic stuff :(.
Just takes practice. Diagramming is useful in the beginning, but you'll eventually get to the point where you don't have to map out the conditional logic (except in a few rare cases) for LR questions.

Prephrasing helps me, even when the answer choice doesn't resemble my prephrase, because it gets me thinking about that relationship between the premises and the conclusion, and how to close the gap between them.

1. Cambridge LSAT is a great source, although be prepared for high printing costs (I suggest taking advantage of free printing privileges at you work or a friend's work).

2. You bet! Many, many TLSers use these.
