Took PT 66 today. Really bummed with what was supposed to be my last PT before Sat.

My LG is just out of control. And I have studied so hard for them. All I have done for the past couple weeks is take PT's and drill LG (in addition to spending the entire month of August on LG). This is the lowest I've scored on a PT in about 2 weeks. I am now considering taking my last available PT (65) tonight in hopes of restoring some confidence before Sat. Of course, there's always the risk that I will do poorly on that one as well...

Any advice?

A few disclaimers. First, I took this in June but haven't looked at it since. I put the June score side by side with the retake. Also, and I don't know what effect this had (I'm going to guess a negative one), I haven't slept in about 35 hours due to working graveyard last night and studying for a test this morning. I took it in the group study floor of the library, as well. I'm sure those two factors would mitigate any advantage I received from an un-reviewed retake. Last five tests? 178, 178, 177, 178, 177. Dat consistency. Oh, and this was also after a history exam... Feeling really good.

Good job, Noodly! I loved squishing 64 between my fingers when I retook it. Cathartic, no? I may just do that again tomorrow to boost confidence.

I thought it was common knowledge you weren't suppose to do anything the day before the test but I see so many people that plan to drill tomorrow that I just don't know what to do.... I thought of doing half LG and RC tomorrow and do 2 games and 10 LR questions 7am before the test... what you guys think?

Y'all have been awesome. I've been lurking and keeping up w/ everyone. Took PT66 tonight and did fairly well RC -2 LR1 - 1 LG -3 (dumb mistakes LR2 -6.. 169.. Seems a lot of people here didn't do well on the 2nd LR on that one.. wtf? Do y'all think it was because it was the last section or was it just trickier/more difficult? I haven't had a -6 in ages.

Also, that foul shots parallel is money. Just muscle memory at this point.

when i started to grade LR1, around 15 my eyes drifted to the section 1 answering column and i was like "WTF i got 5 in a row wrong!?" before i realized what i was doing.

the most frustrating one is LG just because i should be better at them. it's not that they're too hard, it's just that i find a good answer that seems to work with my diagrams and i go with it too quickly without double checking sometimes. i'm lazy/worried about time. gah.


finally, usually i go blind on time, and in all my PTs i just set a 35 minute alarm and on drills i set it for 7m30sec. i decided to buy a small analog wristwatch (since mine is digital) but i found that the ticking was terribly distracting so i threw it across the room early in the test. glad i practiced this before i actually was tempted to throw my watch in the test center.

On the last LR, I unfortunately ran into 3 questions that I remember, so I missed them on purpose. Those happened to be the ones I missed the last time I took the exam, and thus I had reviewed them and remember the correct choices. In this case, I'm not completely sure if I would have guessed the correct answer otherwise, so I didn't want to give myself those points.

Either way, it's okay, I think I perform better after I do poorly than than after I do well. Tomorrow, just some timed LR sections, and logic games, maybe some reading passages, then chill.

Anywho I averaged up my PT scores for this round versus last time.

Avg:

In June my score dropped 2 points from my average. Avg: 171 and Actual score: 169

So if I follow the same trend Avg: 178 and actual Oct score: 176

I would be happy with a 176
