I'm runnin with it. LG were incredibly easy. 1st LR rocked me for some reason. RC was pretty hard too. Just gonna hope the curve is -12 and run with it. If its -9 or -8 because of the easy LG, IM SCREWED

I had LR LG LR LR RC . How do people know that the 2nd LR was expermental? Can't they switch it so that the order of sections is the same, but the experimental is given 1st or 3rd instead of second?

One of the hardest RC ive ever done

had 2 LG. On one i ran out of time when i could have easily finished the last 3 questions. pretty pissed. wasted time on some elimination questions on earlier problems.

For some reason I found the RC section unusually easy. I think it was because the topics - for the most part - were somewhat interesting, so I wasn't tempted to dose off. The (3) LR sections weren't too bad either.

The LG on the other hand... I found 2 of the 4 games really easy. From what I've heard - those 2 being the easiest and the hardest games in the section. The other 2 games of intermediate difficulty however... .

Oh no! I'm so sorry, SA1928. Give it some time, though, you have six days to think about it!

It's okay! I almost withdrew the night before, but decided last second to just wing it and take it, to see how my nerves and stuff might be on the test, which probably was not the best decision knowing that I didn't feel totally prepared. I had withdrawn from October, so I sort of made myself go take it just to prove to myself that it wasn't nerves and it really was just because I didn't feel like I was ready. I haven't canceled yet, but I think I am going to. I feel that writing an addendum to explain one cancellation (praying that June goes well for me!) will be easier/better looking than writing one to explain what will hopefully be a big jump or risk the chance of my scores being averaged. Plus, I'm totally okay with waiting another year until my score is at a place that I want it to be so that I am able to go to a school that I really want to attend. All in all, had a good experience with the test though and feel that I will be better prepared for June after taking December.

I hope you all feel very confident and get back amazing scores!!

I really hope you don't cancel, SA. Trust your hard work. I think I may have bombed a LR section, but I'm sticking with it. Unless you want to go to a school that averages (and almost none do), it really doesn't matter. Just ride it out.

I've made the decision not to cancel my score, but I am most likely retaking in June and pushing my app to the next cycle so that I can have all my ducks in a row and hopefully blow the LSAT out of the water in June. I want to see where I stand, at least.

Since most schools take the highest LSAT, I am confident that I'll be just fine for the next time I take it.

Unfortunately I was PTing around 161-165 and I think I scored well below my average. But I know what to expect now. Hopefully I don't get a RC experimental next time.

Oh I'd definitely be ready for an RC experimental--but at that point I think I've already gotten the worst possible section (for me at least), so I'd at least not freak out half as badly as I did this time.

Unfortunately, the two schools I am the most interested in do average, Columbia and NYU. My odds of getting in aren't great to begin with being that I'm only slightly above a 3.5 GPA. I feel that I performed as well as I had been practicing, which is in the low 160s, but a score in that range won't get me into either of those schools. Realistically, I shouldn't have taken the test at all, but really wanted to test my nerves out because I used to struggle with anxiety in certain testing situations. Even though I know I worked hard for the past few months for this test, I know I can work even harder and really get to know the test. I sort of feel like I got to know the test on a surface level and to get where I want to score, I need to really dig in deep and know the tricks and patterns.

I am taking the next few weeks off (already packed up my books so I don't even have to see them!) and then will really dive in after the holidays.

How are you all feeling? Starting to work on the rest of the pieces of your applications or are you already done?

I thought I would share here what I posted in the prep forums.

I just got back from the LSAT, Sabbath Exam.
There were seven people taking the exam together at the testing center.
I talked to everyone beforehand, they all seemed like, nice educated people.
Everyone during the break expressed a negative outcome regarding the logic games portion of the test.
After the test, nearly everyone indicated that they did not perform well enough to get into the law school of the choice.
One girl even cried quietly at her desk during the essay portion of the test.
It was LG-LR-LR-RC-LR.
I saw no difference in difficulty between the Logical Reasoning sections.
The RC section questions was easy and the passages were moderate to a little easy to understand.
The LG hurt most people, but they were all the types that can be studied ahead of time, nothing new so to speak, with a similar distribution as the published p-score percent chance of appearing.
I had to guess on the last questions on three of the four games due to what type question normally occurs on the last question of each games due to time.
Time was NOT an issue for me. I finished with 2-3 minutes to spare on each section except LG, the first section also.
I have great respect for those who score in the 170s, and can't imagine what an 180 is like without 12 months of study, a little luck, and a mind for it that can't be taught. 180 is that illusive imo.
I will not let a test keep me from going to law school, I just have to adjust my expectations a little lower now, and consider relocation.

PS After taking the LSAT, I think that it is an unnecessary obstacle in selecting the Law School of my choice. But that sounds like a loser talking, but I think a different format would better suit MY needs.
