Usually there are lounges in or near TC's. Show up at 7 and do it then, and they don't check you in until 8 25 or so. At least, at the two different TC's ive been at. Do whatever you want til then, and don't overthink it. Or, just do them at your house before you show up. It's not that big of a deal either way. Its more about getting the brain warmed up. Its not a do or die sort of thing You're freaking out about this, which is the #1 cause of retakes. I scored 5 points higher on my second take with hardly ANY studying and it was just due to me relaxing and saying "whatever I'll get what I deserve to get."

This is me right now for my first take. Does that mean I'll score at least my average?ilikebaseball wrote:Usually there are lounges in or near TC's. 1st takes are always difficult. You can go into the TC cocky all you want (me, my 1st time. I felt like I ran that TC) but at the end of the day there is nothing that can simulate the nerves of the LSAT. Stay humble about it. Its a difficult test, and no one looks down on you for taking it 2 times or 3 times. I went in thinking that there was no way in hell I was gonna take it twice. Well, I'm about to take it my 3rd time. Just be humble. On these days leading up, keep drilling your weaknesses and don't settle for anything. There is always room for improvement. But if you're a cocky little shit like I was about it, then you DESERVE to take it again.

oh and for gods sake, dont be that guy who goes into a TC and asks everyone what schools they're considering, what their practice scores have been, etc. Both of my TC's have had that guy. No one likes that guy. No one cares about you in there except you. Whether its Harvard or Cooley, people are taking this for their own reasons. Go in there, get mentally prepared, and make small talk to calm your nerves. Don't talk about the test (for multiple reasons). Just laugh off the nerves. Try to make people laugh. If you're cocky, you deserve the low score you'll get.

Maybe I'll feel different on game day, but my approach to tests is to reframe my thoughts. Its not one huge, scary test. Its ~125 small problems, all of which are doable. For me that's very calming.

It's more based off of tendencies and such, not the fact that you're smart/scoring high... nor am I saying you are a trollShemp wrote:It stands to reason that of the 10-20,000 people who will take the LSAT on Saturday, 10-20 of them will achieve a score in the top tenth of a percentile (178-180), and there is a somewhat larger population of people who are capable of achieving such a score but may fail to do so. It also stands to reason that of those dozens of people who are going to take the test Saturday and who can realistically achieve those scores, some portion of them, and likely a reasonably high portion, would read TLS, the largest and most popular internet forum for law school students and potential law school students. Of those people who are taking the LSAT in February and who read TLS and who are capable of achieving a very high score, is it unreasonable to believe that one or more of them would post in the only thread that is specifically targeted toward people who are studying for the February LSAT?Smallville wrote:Had the same feeling since post 1... :p but not really doing much trolly stuff so either good&cautious troll/lazy troll/not troll (not excluding external possibilities)PeanutsNJam wrote:Shemp is also setting off my troll radar, but eh, who gives a shit anyway.

can you last minute TC change to mine?zacboro wrote:Baseball - with regards to the post about not being "that guy" at the TC, I have all ready went over in my head nice but fast ways to tell someone to fuck off I don't care about anything they have to say. I'm just hoping no one tries to talk to me, not that it will be the end of the world lol, but I don't want it. I can't stand small talk on a normal basis let alone on game day.
