Re: The Official December 2017 Study Group
Been sick the last couple days.. been really trying to rest up yest and today. Today im feeling better and hopefully back to normal tomorrow. Despite being sick, I got some quality hours in yest evening after I slept all day haha.. finished the RC portion of the trainer and some drilling. Going to keep it up and hopefully get through the LR in the trainer again and some MH on weak points. Was going to take a PT yest or today but pushed it back till thursday when im healthy again.

Thanks! Im feeling much better today.. I honestly rather get sick now than the week of. Irma threw me off just two weeks before the test so about a month out getting a little cold isnt too big of deal. Just trying to get some drilling in to keep up. I guess the few extra days of drilling and review should be better anyway come PT on ThursdayKing of the North wrote:Hope you get well soon.Rupert Pupkin wrote:Been sick the last couple days.. been really trying to rest up yest and today. Can’t catch a break, can ya. But you’re right. Better to be sick a month out than right before or the day of the test.Rupert Pupkin wrote:Thanks! Im feeling much better today.. For those of you who have tested before: I’m starting to use the 7Sage app for background noises/distractions/proctor purposes. What’s a good setting to use? It scales from 1-10. 10 seemed really obnoxious when I used it yesterday but I got through just fine anyway. Thanks for the help.

Scored a 169 on PT 40 over the weekend and then a 177 on PT 33 today??
Also binge watched Stranger Things S2 contributing to a lack of sleep over the weekend so maybe that’s it?? Did any of you guys see it? I’m unhealthily obsessed with this cast.

Re: The Official December 2017 Study Group
Anyone else who's hoping to matriculate somewhere next fall already signed up for February just in case? I'm hoping I won't have to take it then. My initial plan was to take it in September with December as my back-up option, but some stuff came up and I had to cancel taking it in September.

I remember that question. Took me way too long to figure out, even after the test on BR. The exemplary record part threw me for a whirl for a bit.Experiment626 wrote:It's wordy, which makes it more unwieldy than it actually is, I'll give you that.MercW07 wrote:Anyone looking for some logic practice should check out PT63 Section 3 Question 22. My schedule:Experiment626 wrote:I've been getting up at 6 on Saturdays to mimic test day. I plan on getting there by 7:15 to have an hour to warm up, eat breakfast sandwich and bio real quick, then check in.Mikey wrote:im about 30 mins from our TC, maybe less if i speed and no traffic. so around 6 to 6:30 for me as well.littlewing67 wrote:
I’ve heard of people having to wake up at 4AM test day, and that’s quiet unfortunate. Thank god I only have to wake up at 6:00/6:30 to be able to do morning drills and check in and all that jazz. I’m a ~15 drive from my test center, if that.
do you get there super early though? your area of the room was all filled up i think by the time i got there.. i hate that long ass line at our TC, its dreadful.. GOSH NY KIDS, WHY DO SO MANY OF Y'ALL WANT TO BE LAWYERS
It's just as bad in DC.
I wake up at 4:45 every day and work out for 10-20 minutes. Coffee made and ready do do my daily PT section by 5:20. At 6, I go upstairs and wake up my kids and start getting them ready for school. Do the daily 8-5 grinddd. Then come home and try to get to bed by 10 PM.
In the three weeks before the test, I'll start doing a 4-section timed PT once a week.

I'm counting my 2x a week Physical Therapy appointments as gym time since it's basically an entire lower body workout...littlewing67 wrote:Wow. I respect it. Takes a lot to wake up to study AND workout. I have no excuse now for why I can't go to the gymEleven wrote: My schedule:

Re: The Official December 2017 Study Group
Pretty sure Ive reached the point in my studies where taking full PTs is no longer beneficial. A better than average PT at this point only confirms that I am capable of a score I already knew I was capable of, and a bad score does nothing but leave me feeling unnecessarily defeated. Ive taken enough PTs to know the areas Im good at, and the areas I need help in so I think from here on out Im going to take only 1 or 2 PTs a week just to keep my stamina, and instead focus more on drilling problem areas.

After much back & forth with forum members over the past few months...I finally hunkered down and bought the 7sage Ultimate + - this December 2017 attempt is just my first LSAT attempt for the Fall 2018 cycle, so I will have plenty of time to squeeze Ultimate + of every additional test point it can give me.
Just posting this here so people can make me feel good about my exorbitant purchase. Seems to be the general favorite among TLS versus other courses/private tutors.

Yeah...video explainations for every test from 37-81.
This will be the best $750 I've spent in my life.

This was a huge selling point for me. I think the course is great as well, and have recommended it to several people. Enjoy and take your time with it!greatspirit wrote:Yeah...video explainations for every test from 37-81.

Do you guys often diagram out inference questions in LR?? I just drilled a couple for which it seemed very helpful to see the logic used in the stimulus in formal logic.

if there's a lot of conditional language then yeah i may diagram it out, but for the most part I don't if it's just a normal inference Q without may mosts, some, all, only, etc239840 wrote:Do you guys often diagram out inference questions in LR?? Sometimes. Especially if there's formal logic or a lot to keep track of I'll diagram and group things.239840 wrote:Do you guys often diagram out inference questions in LR?? I just drilled a couple for which it seemed very helpful to see the logic used in the stimulus in formal logic.

Re: The Official December 2017 Study Group
Same. Some questions answers are definitely more clear if you diagram it out, but due to time constraints i only do it on tough questions with lots of formal logic. Or a parallel quest its often effective.Mikey wrote:if there's a lot of conditional language then yeah i may diagram it out, but for the most part I don't if it's just a normal inference Q without may mosts, some, all, only, etc239840 wrote:Do you guys often diagram out inference questions in LR??
