Just some LG probably. Probably read a bit of the magazine. Nothing major.
Might retake PT74 later this week just for kicks after practicing LG.

Sounds good. LG sounds like a nice way to get back into it. I'm probably doing RC tonight and forever though

Yeah it looks pretty solid. I haven't kept up with the news since 2012 election so I'm looking forward to being (re)informed on things that will come up in conversation as well as miscellaneous other general knowledge stuff.

Yeah LG will take some work to get me back up to speed.
I'm hoping/anticipating that my LR and RC will have held since they're more intuitive now and less skills-based.

Looking for some input -- I scored a 170 in December but was screwed over in the first section thanks to poor timekeeping on my part and due to the test center not telling us what time the sections were starting and ending. My PTs were 170-180, most often around 173. Should I retake or am I crazy? GPA is 3.82. Any advice is seriously appreciated, I've been going back and forth for a month and have no idea what to do!

Let me know how the print version compares to online. I read the Economist on my phone all the time but I might get that $1 per week subscription or whatever it is if it's worth it.

Slowly studying... I've been working through Manhattan LR between classes, but not doing their end-of-chapter drills so I don't taint PTs. I really wish these prep books would take all their examples from one or two tests instead of forcing you to see questions from many PTs. It's also slightly irritating how Manhattan and the Trainer sometimes call LR questions "problems" as if it were calculus or something, but I guess their businesses partially rely on the supposition that LR and RC questions can be answered in a procedural manner like LG or math problems. They wouldn't sell as many books if they said that LR answers have to be intuited.

Should probably get back into LG.

Agreed. I'm basically writing off most of the 50's PTs because of it. Though I do have enough tests otherwise. Even though the older ones are a bit outdated, I still think it is a good training tool.

Feel like every time I come near my LSAT material, ADD starts to kick in. Starting this week, going to try and study through the night (no distractions, everyones sleeping, able to concentrate more, no good shows at night either) and sleep till the afternoon. Lets see how that works.

Haven't done anything today at all. Can't make it to the school library cuz of the storm and it's impossible to study at home.

Based on how hard it is to hit the books and study, I think the LSAT is ~75% a test of work ethic and motivation.

In the same exact position except havent done anything in a week. Planned to start going to school library but its closed cuz of the storm.

During the day, i end up going out, running misc errands, on the phone, or watching tv. Hopefully this night owl method works. Def wont be going out at night, can't use phone because everyone's sleeping, and i don't watch TV at night because my family wakes up too early. Lol

Right now I'm reading through Chapter 5 of the LG Bible. I notice how it's similar to Chapter 13-14 in the Trainer. Now that I'm cracking through these games and getting the gist, I would say that one needs the Trainer to have the Bible. And one needs the Bible to have the Trainer.

Take that logic!

Just completed the Simple Ordering cambridge packet. Contains 24 games and 139 question; out of which I got 15 wrong. so basically got 124/139.. Frustrated!

I'm usually okay with getting LG questions right, it just takes me too long. I also have to get over stupidly staring at a game for 3+ minutes because I can't find any inferences.

ETA: Does anyone have a good PT schedule yet? I've failed to find any real life people to study with and I'd like some sort of structure and competition/assistance in PTing.

I'm probably putting one together tonight. I'll start with mostly retakes in the 40s and do a PT either once a week or once every 2 weeks until March? Idk I haven't figured it out yet

Eta: I'm willing to share or make PT schedules with others to help with accountability or if you're competitive and want to score higher than me on all the PTs

Good afternoon everyone.

I am planning to take the June exam after deciding not to take the December test.
I have a question on prepping for June. If I already drilled through the prep bundles (i.e. main conclusion), can I revisit them or should I consider them finished?

It would be great to have some insight.

Thanks,

Thanks,
You can revisit them, and I reccommend revisiting them. When you redo them make sure you understand the reasoning behind each question and aren't just circling answers because you remember them. Understand why each AC is either right or wrong and use the Manhtten forums if you need help with understanding any questions.

Seriously? What are you waiting for?
