I've been studying the bibles as well. The thing I fear is the opposite of yours and that they will teach the same things... and I will be simply going over the exact same techniques, so I'd be reading an entire book for no reason and wasting time I could be taking getting another section stronger.

Ahhh yes! Glad you brought that up, I was really NOT thinking about that when I was considering purchasing it (that would be a waste of money). Ummm would be great to hear from someone who has read both.

I've gone through both the bibles and the trainer, and they're dissimilar enough to warrant buying both. That said, I thought the LSAT trainer blew the powerscore bibles out of the water, with the exception of the LGB. Since we're on the subject of books, I suggest that you also look into Manhattan LR. I thought Manhattan LR was superior to the LRB.

In terms of quality, how did the Manhattan LR compare to The LSAT Trainer?

I took the June 2007 test as a diagnostic a couple of weeks ago. Breakdown:
LG: -7, was nt able to finish
LR1: -2
LR2: -5 (all of these were missed consecutively when the dog was barking, which was infuriating but i guess no excuses lol)
RC: -3

Since then, I haven't been very successful at staying motivated studying with work in the way... I purchased the 7sage course and those videos are helping slightly with pacing, but maybe posting in this thread from time to time will keep me in check. Happy studying all.
Welcome. Awesome diag. This study group will help you stay motivated, which sounds like your only problem.

RC: -7 (-0, -2 (comparative), -1, -4 (thoroughly rushed--see previous post))
LR : -2
LG: -1 (game 2)
LR: -2

I brought the RC up to a -5, LR combined to a -1 and LG to a -0 on BR
Wow! Congrats man!

They're both high quality, and I would personally recommend that you buy both. I know the costs can be prohibitive, but if the $30-50 you shell out on either book translates to even a one point difference, that can translate into way more money in terms of scholarships and job prospects. Think of it as an investment.

I think you were asking for a relative assessment, which is kind of hard to do because I really liked both. However, if I had to chose between one of the two, I'd go with the LSAT Trainer (I really like the drills).

Hey guys, got a blind review score of 167 when I went over some of my timed sections (all from the same test, taken sporadically throughout the week) which is enocouraging since its the highest I've ever gotten. I still missed 6 on RC, I think RC will be a struggle always for me. LR and LG are improving pretty well though

Just drilled the bus game today, without realizing it was THE much discussed and dreaded bus game, and got completely wrecked.

Yep, I drill that game a few times a week, still takes me 11-12 minutes. How bad did you get beaten by it?

Same here, flash. It's a good one to do, put away for a few weeks, then come back to.

It's not like a weird game, either. It's just plain hard.

Yeah I know. Actually - I may have had some sort of issue with the whole isle and left side of the bus thing a while back when I first did it. Hard to remember now.. definitely just a really hard game though.

Took an LR section from pt 52 today. Took a -4. Two of my wrong answers were Weaken questions, and the other two were on MSS. Does anyone have tips for how to approach weaken sections? Every section or PT I take, that question always happens to be one of the wrong answers I get. Going to take an RC section (untimed) tomorrow and tell you guys how I do. Excited to take another PT this weekend to finally see some good results and hopefully not a terrible RC score.

The guy above me inspired me to make goals for this week:

1. Keep drilling and reviewing weaken question types
2. Start drilling LG again. Finish linear games this week. I'm set with LG but there has to be a reason I can't knock my score down to -0.
3. Drill MSS and MBT questions
4. Complete and review two untimed RC sections.

Embarrassingly bad. LG is definitely my weakest section right now but the game took me over 20 minutes and I got 3 out of 5 right. It's also probably only like the second conditional heavy game i've ever done.

Hey all, been working a lot here recently hoping to start working pretty strictly on the logic games tomorrow. :D Any advice would be appreciated.

for some reason the games come natural to me. its all about making the diagram and getting the first problem which is always "which of the following could be the order..." once you get that, you can run through the rest fairly quickly because you already have one template. just base your other answers off of that because more times then not they will be fairly similar.

Sorry if it's been asked already, but which prep tests have you guys found the hardest? Also is anyone come closer to their blind review scores? Any tips on getting there?

Lucky, LG have proven to be the hardest section for me. Luckily I truly enjoy them and I think I will be able to strengthen this weakness fairly quickly!

Seriously? What are you waiting for?
