Love the PT schedule. I'm EST and would love to join in on this.
Complex ordering drilling today. Came in at -0, sub 7:30 on the first 2/3 of the packet and then...
PT38-S2-G2: -2, 7:34
PT24-S4-G3:-0, 10:09
PT32-S3-G4: -2, 8:43
PT2-S3-G4: -0, 9:57
PT37-S3-G4: -1 7:15
PT30-S1-G3: -0, 8:57
PT38-S2-G4: -0, 8:15
Ouch. -2 on 2 games. -1 on 1 game. And a total of 5 games over 7:30. Outta 20.

Are you guys going full blackout when you drink? I raged pretty hard during winter break and didn't get shit done. I feel like it might be bad for my brain. It also makes my motivation drop to zero when I'm hungover, not to mention the distraction of being filled with anxiety and regret.deputydog wrote:armedwithamind wrote:I like weds and Sunday because most of my raging is done thurs-sat.deputydog wrote:Armed, thanks for giving us st pattys off, lol

Re: JUNE 2013 Study Group / Study Partner Thread
Reluctantly checking in. I'm WLed at a few places this cycle, and if push comes to shove I'd re-take if that will get me in. Not sure what kinda prep schedule I'll follow, since I'm taking a third time, but I bet I can answer questions you guys have.
I'm starting by drilling some games, then may take a look at Manhattan LR and RC and do some drilling before I go for a full PT.
Cheers, everyone!

Re: JUNE 2013 Study Group / Study Partner Thread
If you can't get anything done the day after drinking, I wouldn't advise going full blackout very often. I prepped while in UG and wasn't getting a lot done when I went out Wednesday through Saturday. I guess it all depends on how much you can/want to get done.A → B ⊨ ¬B → ¬A wrote:Are you guys going full blackout when you drink? I raged pretty hard during winter break and didn't get shit done. I also work so evenings/weekends work best for me...EST. I am willing to stay up late to review (to accommodat to the West coasters). So anywhere from 7pm-10pm EST during the week works for me.

Same deal as Bella with scheduling. And 34 wasn't my favorite either. Makes for good review although it hurts your confidence

personally, it's okay if you miss cinco de drinko for one year. presumably, most of us are in our 20s, youll have plenty of time to rage in 3LOL/2L SA summer. you need to put in the work to get theredeputydog wrote:armedwithamind wrote:I like weds and Sunday because most of my raging is done thurs-sat.deputydog wrote:Armed, thanks for giving us st pattys off, lol

I wasn't being serious. PM that TC link.
Also, what is the plan to bump RC. I know it can be done, but it seems like the hardest section to improve.

I feel your pain...I've been drilling complex ordering today and it wasn't going too well for me, either. I did ok with Difficulty Level 2, but 3 really crushed me on time and accuracy.

totally bittersweet, but ultimately depressing, pt today....just finished and im really disappointed. went -1 on lg for the first time ever with 5 minutes to spare. mind you lg is the one thing ive done the least. 90% of my effort the past month has been on lr and i bombed it. -5 and -10!!!!! never done that bad on a section before in my life. got to the last section and was just like "duhhhhhhhhh......i guess this one looks right" the whole time. time is a serious fkin issue..goin wayy to slow. ive only gone up 3 points from my cold (158-->161) after probably 150 hours of prep and im starting to wonder if its in the cards or not. law schools starting to look like a pipe dream for me.

@achilles
You'll be fine. Just take all the PTs, make the reviews and stick to the plan. Games seem good for you, keep drilling to maintain confidence and strengthen those skills. I imagine RC didn't go that well based on the breakdown you just gave. Just drill and stay optimistic. I imagine you've already gone through the guides, just work on applying those strategies. If you're still struggling come June, consider allocating time across the three passages with most questions. It will give you more time to read. Guess the same letter for all the questions for the passage that only has 5 questions. Then pray like hell you got 2 right!
LR is tough, but I think if you stick with it you'll be good come June. Especially if its easy for you to see your mistakes when you review. In your free time, check the Manhattan "active thread" and see if you can answer the questions others have for LR. I know exactly what you mean though, my LR situation is similar. If you want PM and we can talk strategy.
Lastly, stay optimistic. June is a while a way!
