My problem with the first passage was a misread of an AC actually. I felt I had taken too much time and was at 8:40, so I rushed the final Q, and read 'preponderance', missing the 'not a preponderance' in the 7th Q TCR. Before LSAT, I thought I was great at reading for detail. Now that's an area of real concern for me; I can attribute the vast majority of my mistakes to stupid little misreads and it's beyond frustrating/disconcerting.

What was your overall score on the section, pre-BR?

Thanks for posting this. I had a hard time understanding how objectively there's a good/right way to approach the final week for everyone. So much talk in absolute terms, substantiated by circular reasoning.

Unfortunately I'm not going to have time today to BR my LR section that I took this morning. I hate that but really, I have this big exam at 6 and I HAVE o devote any free time today to that. Other than that I've got a 5 section PT tomorrow at 6 AM and BR after, so squeezing today's LR BR into tomorrow is unrealistic. Jesus, here's to hoping I don't have a heart attack by Satuday.
You can't BR while in class? Multi-tasking is a skill too. ;)

It's tight, but you're good to go. Just remember that these last few days are to keep your mind sharp and immersed; not to develop/learn new skill. Feel less pressure -- all the heavy lifting is done. Btw, what are you studying?

How have your last 5 PTs been, and when did you take them? It might be worth your while to retake one you've already done and take PT 74 in sections. If you're looking for the morale boost, of course.
Sounds like a good idea! thanks :)

My average for the past 5 PTs is 168. I know that you should expect to score lower than your average and my goal is 170+. So I'll definitely need the morale boost. Ahhh!
Have you taken any in the 70s yet? I'm assuming you have. What have you scored on those? You definitely want to be scoring a few points above your goal, to account for the notorious test day drop.
Sometimes it's a random test day spike instead. I hate how unpredictable the test environment is on test taker performance.

I couldn't agree more with this. A lot of retakers here have said that they had trouble with the first sections especially in older tests and, for those, Ben's advice might help. However, there are definitely going to be people who will just do better if they don't look at a problem the day before the test.

There's a reason that has been the conventional wisdom. It's worked for a lot of people. BPBen's advice is an alternative that may work for others.

Personally, I'm waiting to see how bad work is on Thursday. I have to work that day so if it's really bad then I may not get the day off for my brain and will be doing nothing Friday.

Dammit Zac, the 2nd to last row is where the party's at

I think I'm going to take a PT today, but outside of taking/BRing I don't see myself doing anything substantial in the next few days.

Need to pick my warm up material though - might just do stuff from 73 for the lolz

I was joking about BRing in class. ;)

And asking generally about what you're studying.

I did something similar (though graduated a few years ago): polisci, w/ a 'legal studies' minor, and econ minor as well. I was interested in philosophy, but the tough grading generally associated w/ philo/history classes deterred me.

I'm polisci with a minor in acting. I'm basically taking a bunch of electives this semester.

ETA: Joan of Arc is kind of awesome.

Minor in acting? That's an interesting mix. Do you want to do anything with the acting?

That's fair... and have you liked philosophy?

I didn't really enjoy my econ as a minor. Polisci, on the other hand, was great. And I wound up being exposed to far more practical econ stuff in polisci than in my econ classes, ironically. Though I did focus a lot on development in polisci, hence the practical econ.

With some of your analogies, I'm certainly not surprised. ;)

Same! I took a lot of business/marketing classes too, and I've worked in business/finance the last few years, so all that stuff is great for me. I almost get a little giddy when it's an econ/business passage.
