It honestly kind of sucks. There's always something in the back of my mind saying, "Dude, you already know this." 167 in September proves I don't, but I think I get less out of studying because of it. I'm still having trouble hitting 170 consistently.
Score twins.

I was feeling pretty complacent about studying until GT got his 177. Then I decided I probably should take studying a little more seriously. Part of me wants to postpone until June and try for that high of a score, but I don't think I could suffer waiting another four months to take this thing.

174 on today's PT! -2 RC, -3 LR1, -1 LG (retake, damn zones game), and -0 LR2. Not putting much stock in it given that I took the LG section while studying for Dec, but still, nice after Friday's disaster. I need to experiment more with warming up on my remaining two PTs- I did a warm up before Friday's PT and crashed and burned, but didn't today and lost most of the points in the first two sections. Second LR definitely felt a lot more fluid than the first as I was taking it, though.

Off to watch puppies (rerun? West Coast? who cares PUPPIES) and then study more.

Congrats Leslie!

I'm calling it a day. Was hoping to get more in, but I'm all foggy and tired and want to watch friends. Was going to PT tomorrow but I think I'm better off drilling and reviewing Manhattan LR.

so apparently my parents forgot I told them I'm not going to school this fall... weren't happy... again

also, thinking about leasing a car... payments would be covered till LS pretty much, but not sure if its a good idea since Id have to pick it up while in school + would have to take up payments to either finance to buy it afterwards/get a new lease/or find a different car to get so not sure its a great move but idk  :?

PT 73 went off without a hitch. (Apart from my running out of time on the last section and getting 3 of the final 5 wrong. Lame.)

Ah, fuck. So relieved. Thank you, brain, for having learned some.

He then proceeded to tell me how Calc 3 was a lot harder than most of the classes he's taken before but even when he was studying for that class he still came around. The little extra time that I'm putting towards the LSATs isn't reasonable as an excuse for not having time...

I loathe when people try to tell me I'm putting too much time into this, or when someone tries to compare studying for the LSATs with studying for a class. Just stop.
Tell him that you aren't coming around because you realize he's an unsupportive asshole who is more concerned with his own needs than with encouraging you to study as hard as you can, and/or a moron for not understanding how a test that will help to determine your graduate acceptances is of significantly more importance than a single university course, however difficulty it may be.

Good friends will be there after the LSAT. The ones that complain during, they're either selfish or stupid. Either way, you probably don't need them in your life.

Sorry if I'm being a bitch about this, but he seems whiny, seriously.

I'm too superstitious to share scores, but I did hit my average. Happy!

I hope you did well on it, too. The LR was definitely a bit tricky on this one.

It was for me, too. Until I did every single LG in existence at least five times. I've done the Most Difficult packet twelve times. TWELVE.

It is the easiest in that it is learnable through sheer repetition.
I'm secretly hopeful that this can work for LR as well. Where LR had grown to be a real strength for me, it's now proving to be my downfall as RC has become a strength (all based on admittedly small sample sizes for this turn-around...)

So that if I don't take this Feb exam, I'll just drill the hell out of LR, do every Q out there, breaking them down quickly and repeatedly...

I think it can, to a point. I've noticed this second time around that LSAC repeats so many questions, seriously, and my LR has grown in strength as I've completed more and more PTs.

Awww, grade it! I don't know how you could wait! I always want to know immediately, although I usually don't review wrong answers until the next day.

Thanks guys! And yay sfogs for killing 73!

Zac, any real friend will still be there a week from now. Actually, any real friend will be there exactly six days and whatever hours from now, ready to celebrate as soon as you're done crushing the LSAT.

Also super premature, I know, but I'm kind of nervous about how unpredictable February's release date is, mostly because I just booked a flight on March 3rd and will be in the air from 4 pst on. They better release it early enough for me to digest the news or there will be copious drinking in the airport bar.

zacboro wrote:No Sfogs I completely agree! I explained it a little bit to him.. I was like, okay, let me run you through this, very often my schedule is wake up at 5:30/6 AM. I shower, eat breakfast, then I take a 3 hour test. Then I go to class for a little, then I come home and spend about 4-5 more hours reviewing that test. THEN, after all that, that's when I sit down and do any homework or studying for any one of my six classes. And on days when I don't do this I have over 5 hours of classes to go to, in addition to the one or two hours of studying for the LSATs I do in the morning. So no, please don't try to describe studying for the LSATs as "a little extra work."

I mainly posted that here because I neeeeeeeded someone to understand and I figured someone on here would. And yeah, he's not exactly a friend. All though I am so thankful for all of my friends who do understand why I'm doing this.
:/ I'm sorry, Zac. I know it sucks. I'd feel pretty alone in this if not for TLS; it's not always easy for others to understand.

Yay for you, too!!!

Also, is copious drinking at the airport bar ever NOT requisite? I'm sure we'll receive a few days early, anyway. :)

LG scores may vary more than the other sections. If it is you're probably struggling with a given game type, and should sure that up.
