Did 3 timed (24 minutes) RC passages during lunch, and they went pretty well.
5/6
6/7

Didn't seem like the most difficult passages, though.

Have so far drilled 75 NA questions and got 66/75. Again, it's these level 4 questions that have killed me. Not gonna lie, it's very frustrating.
I just wanna get to the point already where I can answer around 95% of the questions correctly. I can do this easily with the 1, 2, and 3 levels but I'm struggling with the 4s. I have around 150 questions left in the packet so hopefully I can still make some improvements.
Also, for those who haven't started drilling LR yet, I'd recommend that you save around 25% of the questions from each packet so that you can work on your weaknesses later on. Don't go through all the questions in each packet.

How are you going about drilling in such large numbers? Just the Cambridge packs ordered by question type? I have just about every PT (even the early ones), but have just been doing the small 6-8 question drills from my schedule and in the trainer book.

Nope, definitely ruins. It's very rare that I feel good about LG. Even when I do well I always think something like "that was the first game in the section so it was extra easy," "I've seen this before and must have remembered something," "I should have been faster," etc.JackelJ wrote:FtfyRZ5646 wrote:Doing logic games in the morning is a great way toruinstart your day off well.

Re: The Official June 2015 Study Group
Okay guys, so you may have noticed that I've been experiencing something of a crisis concerning LG. Tonight I did an experiment to test my improvement by redoing the LG section from the PT I took back in August. None of these games were in my drill packets (probably because whatever online list I used to make the packets didn't go back to the earliest PTs), so I haven't seen these games for 5 months.* I hadn't watched the 7sage explanations or even reviewed the section back then either, since I was so disgusted with having to guess on half of the questions. I also took this under substandard conditions—in my college dining hall while listening to some girl very loudly tell her friends about a documentary she had seen about a guy wrongly imprisoned for rape who later became friends with his accuser and then some sort of drama involving her boyfriend and his ex-girlfriend.
Anyway, the results...
First take: -14
Second take: -0/1**
I had to score it twice because I couldn't believe it. I knew I had done better because I actually attempted each question this time, but I definitely didn't expect that much improvement. During the section I felt confused and thought I had missed some important inferences because some of the answers didn't make sense, so I predicted I'd get from -4 to -8. Yet somehow I succeeded.
So it appears that I have made some improvement. Of course, this was not a particularly difficult section (according to 7sage), but I'm happy nonetheless. Perhaps LG isn't hopeless.
* Actually the first game of the section was an example in the LGB's "Forgotten Few" chapter, but I don't think I remembered anything; in fact, I had to brute force many of the questions.
** I skipped one and never came back to it because I wasn't using a bubble sheet (I just gave myself a 34 minute time limit instead). If I had been bubbling I would have noticed that I left it blank and probably would have answered it correctly, since as I answered later questions I figured out things that made it easy. So, idk if I should count it as a miss or not. Even if I do, I'm still shocked by my score. The LGB truly is a divine book.

Hi!
I will also be taking the June test. I'm an international student and stayed here for Christmas because I thought I should start studying. Unfortunately, I totally bailed on the studying during the break. Just finished the LSAT trainer today and I've been seeing a lot of improvement. I am still very nervous and lack confidence in my ability to score a 170+. Hopefully, I'll feel a lot better about it later in my studying process.
I look forward to getting to know you all!

Re: The Official June 2015 Study Group
Alright, so after lurking this thread since its inception, guess its time to join. Will be my second take in June, first one was in 2012, before I had found TLS. Did like 5 PTs and jumped into the real thing. Needless to say, the retake is necessary.
Started studying at the start of January with all the bibles/Manhattan RC & LR, plus the Cambridge packets. Essentially reading through the books and drilling question types for now. Have only 31 PTs so waiting until mid February to start going in on them hard. Will do roughly 2 a week then. Don't wanna run out of PTs before the test.
Getting an average of 3 1/2 hours in per day though, so guess its a good start? Any comments on the study plan? (know its only a rough outline) Working full time, but am lucky to be in a country that essentially has a siesta from 12-3, so use that time to study, plus before bed review everything I had done that day.

I've decided that if I don't start studying before then, I'm 100% starting on Monday.
That will give me 19 weeks (18 if you minus my vacation in March) of study time. If that's not enough time for me to pull my score up, then I'll just ED Cooley and call it a day.

Officially registered for June, which means I have been "withdrawing" from each administration for AN ENTIRE YEAR!!
No more withdrawals. No more staying at work for 14 hours instead of going home and studying. No more drinking. No more traveling out of the country..until I make this bloody test my betch!

It was some much needed encouragement lol. I was freaking out because I was beginning to think that LG would lock me out of the 175+ range no matter what I did.The Abyss wrote:Well done!RZ5646 wrote: First take: -14

Dude, I hear you. Do not prioritize being a favorite at work. Doing well in LSAT is more important. I struggled with it for a while, but now I am at peace with just "doing my job". Just because its obvious that I am capable of doing wondrous things at work, does not mean that I actually will do those wondrous things at work. I have something more important that I am trying to achieve that I cannot let you have a whiff of!AtticusRising wrote:Officially registered for June, which means I have been "withdrawing" from each administration for AN ENTIRE YEAR!!![]()

Checking in for June 2015 in NYC.
Have independently been studying with LSAT Trainer and Power-score LG Book. However, I am going to sign up for a prep course in the next few weeks. Did ALOT of research on several different companies and trying to narrow down between Blueprint/Power-score/Manhattan.
And yes, I have read many LSAT prep course review on TLS forum and other resources. I think it will eventually come down to me visiting a class to get a feel for teaching styles, demeanor and strategies.
However, any input on prep courses would be greatly appreciated.
Best of Luck to you All!!

Also, getting absolutely destroyed on grouping games. Any strategies in terms of diagramming?

I read the Bible and also incorporated some of JY's techniques. Sometimes 7sage is more intuitive, so definitely watch their free video explanations and decide which things you want to adopt from each system.

I definitely know the LSAT is top priority for investing my time, buuut I'm not even trying to impress anyone. I work with refugee kids (obviously going in PI Law) so I inevitably end up caring too much about my clients. Damn hoodlums.lawjag2015 wrote:Dude, I hear you.
