Unfortunately saw maybe a third of those questions from drilling though wanted to do better.zacboro wrote:That's not bad for an ass-crack-of-dawn LR section.

I've got one more section to do before I'm gone for the day.

I really wish batman could be my real proctor. Bruce is my kind of people.
on break from 69. That may have been the easiest LG I've ever taken. But I kinda slowed on RC cause I usually have ten extra minutes but I ended up taking twenty on the first two passages by accident.

Really wish next week's LG will be easy.

Well guys I feel amazing after that PT. I said when I started studying for this retest my goal for game day was 85 questions correct. I don't care about the curve at that point because I'd be happy with 85.
PT 69
LR 1 -4
LG -0
RC -7 (Went back and BRed only the last passage since I took so much time thinking I'd have extra and this brought my BR to -2)
LR 2 -5
84 correct (89 with the one passage BR)
167/170
If this happens on Gameday I'll be pumped and Life will be beautiful.
ETA: marked on BR question wrong that was right so 170 BR. Maybe eating pizza yesterday and having a cheat day leads to success?

Gah! I keep going -1 on every logic game due to some lazy oversight.
...drill baby drill...
ETA: Like, every time I go back and review it was something I missed in the question. Like, "Oh, which one of these ISN'T included..."

yeah I didn't really like that question either.zacboro wrote:Okay wait, PT 69 LR section 4 Q 9:
During the test and my BR I noticed this question was weird... I ended up picking up the right answer but I still went to the Manhattan Forums to get some sort of explanation, I was happy to see a post saying "So, I gotta be honest about something strange. I think this question is wrong. I've never written this before about an LSAT question, so I'm nervous about it, but I really really think it. ... I hate to say it, but LSAC really screwed this one up. I'd tell them, if they ever answered my calls."
I don't wanna post the whole thing but did anyone else notice how TCR for this question could be wrong??
Here's the Manhattan link if anyone wants to see the whole thing.

totally learnable. they are also the most common types of questions that show up, so that could also be why most of the ones you missed were those typesgamerish wrote:Was bored so I looked at the score breakdown for LR on my diagnostic and all but two of the questions I missed were Flaw and Strengthen/Weaken. I'm not at LR in my studying yet but are those question types typically learnable? It looks like a lot of people have trouble with strengthen/weaken so I was concerned it's one of those things you either get or you don't.

schmelling wrote:most of the question types on LR are very much related, in that they demand that you be able to recognize a flawed argument and are able to manipulate the flaw in the assigned way. I think every question type on LR is extremely learnable. it may be harder to go consistently -0 on LR than it is on LG, but you can consistently get yourself down to around 4 missed LR questions per test with focused practice.gamerish wrote:Was bored so I looked at the score breakdown for LR on my diagnostic and all but two of the questions I missed were Flaw and Strengthen/Weaken. I love how the consensus is that LG is the easiest, but I've devoted 90% of my studying to it and it's still consistently my worst section.

Oddly TCR was the choice I circled orginally and then I changed to D. The logic as to why it may be wrong is what led me astray from my instinctive selection.nlee10 wrote:yeah I didn't really like that question either.zacboro wrote:Okay wait, PT 69 LR section 4 Q 9:
