Dumb mistake on an easy logic game - didn't really have trouble with the virus game other than that I normally finish logic sections with plenty of time but ran down to the last 30 seconds in this section. 7sage is saying the ones I'm getting wrong on RC and LR are all 2- or 3-star difficulty questions so I think I just need to pay more attention come test day.

Taking 80 today and will do 81 on thursday or friday. Happy sunday!

Despite performing well, I wasn't as confident as I should Have been until I crushed PT 79 today and got a 175. Despite anticipating the Lacquer passage and Virus game I didnt remember any of the questions and have never reviewed this test after sitting for this administration. The only value-add that I got from knowing about this PT was I totally skipped the laquer passage and came back to it after i finished the 4th passage (Which definitely helped a prob 1-2 questions, but RC is a strongsuit of mine anyway). I crushed the LG section with 15 min remaining to focus on the virus game and went -1. Regardless, overall I am pretty pumped for being 1 week out.

I hit 177 on PT 78 2 days ago too, so just gotta tighten some loose ends and crush it. Wish there were a few more weeks though to prep ;P

I took this test today too and with the same situation (remembering some aspects from when I sat for it) and got the same score! haha congrats on the 175!

Haha thanks man, you too. Yeah For example, when I got to the street sign LR question, I was like oh fuck this one again, but i still got it wrong. So I think the only thing that really helped me was skipping lacquer and coming back to it.

Got my 5th 166 in a row (PT 80). Was aiming for 173+ for September but at this point i think i'm just going to retake in December because Northwestern is the goal. I just hope my chances aren't too hurt by a late application.

I haven't seen it yet, but I heard "It" was actually really good.

I thought the movie was pretty good. But I can definitely understand why some people would be less than satisfied. One is probably in for some disappointment if he or she (1) expects to see close (let alone strict) adherence to the novel's plot and details, (2) wants to be kept scared until the very end, or (3) imagines the struggle between It and the children will be very, very dramatic.

Almost always for me. It was the same thing with exams in college. I'd study and get dumb things wrong but show up and suddenly remembered everything I'd ever learned in my life.

Happened to me when I took the test in February. Not enough obviously but was surprised by the few points I got that I thought I wouldn't.

I am also PUMPED to take this shit. I hope the people in this thread that have plowed so much effort into studying get the scores they want. You guys are all very helpful/chill

I took one today which is also my last one before the test since doing one after work isn't so feasible... gonna finish blind reviewing and grading it tomorrow so I'm in a same boat. A retake is definitely in the cards.

yeah. like, I feel like I can do well if I don't fuck up and make a bunch of dumb mistakes, which I end up doing a lot on PT's but ugh idk

The -10 drop from yesterday's magic 180 just shows how damn unpredictable the test can be...Happy with improvement in RC yet terrified with the worst LRs recently. IDK how much else I can do within the last week...

Maybe also experiencing a burn-out since I did 5 PTs within the last 6 days, and the only day without PT I was in class for more than 8 hours...But I just have not studied enough and I feel I have to take PT78 79 80 81 before test day. Should I stick to the plan and take them on Monday Tuesday Wednesday and Friday or should I take another day or two off? Aiming for a 175 and the last five PTs I scored 174 176 172 180 170...Thank you for any suggestions!!

Bad news: came down with a cold this weekend
Good news: drugged up enough that it should be gone by Saturday. feeling glad that I didn't get sick like three days later.

I read over the LG chapter on rare games today and am now going to do a quick review of the writing section. Tuesday/Wednesday/Thursday will be practice tests. Friday, a day to relax. And then test day!

I'm a bit nervous, but knowing that odds are pretty solid that I won't have to worry about this anymore is relaxing enough.

Scored a 175 on PT 79 on Tuesday so I'm feeling decent. Trying to decide if I should take PT 80 or 81 before Sat and risk a low, confidence destroying score, or do a couple retakes from the 70's to maintain confidence. Thoughts?

PT 80 was my best score by far so I would do that over 81, given 81's tough scale (at least if your goal is a confidence boost)
