+1 on the foam roller. It hurts so much when you use it but you feel so good afterwards. I also recommend using tennis balls for the back and shoulder/neck area. It helps relieve stress and soreness from being hunched over from working/drilling all day.nlee10 wrote:I recommend getting a foam roller if you don't have. but as for the day of, gunna wake up, maybe get in some quick workout and eat breakfast and head out (with some questions to do in my car when I get there)

I think I'll stick to weight training. If I rolled on the ground like that I might be confused as a beached whale.

Not mutually exclusive. A good deep-stretching session will make you feel invincible.
One of the few perks of being in China. I can get a quality professional 80 minute deep-tissue massage for around $30 USD. Private room, gentle sound of running water, perfect ambient temperature, and a little Asian man (I have a regular masseuse) to work me over.

The first time he massaged me, he basically said "holy shit" in Chinese when he got to my lower back (it's in really bad shape).
Having a regular masseuse is really nice, would recommend. It's like having a regular barber. No need to explain shit, they know exactly what needs to be done.

Shanghai. And the women are 4's at best, while the men are much better at their job. Since I'm face down and enduring pain the entire time anyway, I figured I'd just go with the little dude who can get shit done as opposed to the ugly woman who's wasting my time.msp8 wrote:Preferable to have a little Asian man?PeanutsNJam wrote:Not mutually exclusive. I had the most painful foot massage in China last year... gruesome experience. It was a masseuse, so I'll request a small Asian man next time instead.

PNJ, do you opt for the happy ending as well? I don't know how things work in China. Do you pay extra for that?

Foam rollers/balls and lacrosse balls hurt so good. You feel much better afterwards, and they help recovery and to prevent injury.

I will never understand how prostitution is preferable to just handling the business yourself with some choice websites.Shakawkaw wrote:PNJ, do you opt for the happy ending as well? I don't know how things work in China. Do you pay extra for that?

What is a burpee? I feel like I keep seeing that word lately and it means nothing to me.msp8 wrote:Something similar. If I write (hope I do!), will do my regular routine of pushups, situps, squats, burpees, skipping + eating two nine grain bread w/ organic peanut butter, bit of white stone fruit jam, sliced banana. Will prob add a protein shake as well.nlee10 wrote: I feel like I won't have enough time to get ready/go to gym unless I wake up super early.
But I'm probably walk around my apt complex just to get the body moving before I drive to my TC.
Breakfast will be my usual oatmeal/protein powder/banana/almond milk and probably a granola bar.
