Hey, I'm not well acquainted with this site, but I was wondering if any of you have any last-minute suggestions as to how to better perform on the logic games.

As of right now, I'm testing at about a 167, which is happily 6 points above my diagnostic, but am lucky to get more than 15 right on the logic games (but am in the 90% range on the other three sections). So if I can even get to the 20/25 range, I'll be around a 170, which is my target.

Some Logic Games that I've had an especially rough time getting past:

December 2001 - Game 3 (seats on a bus)
June 2001 - Game 4 (doctors in Randsborough and Souderton)
October 2000 - Game 4 (cats/dogs in a pet shop)

I will, of course, browse the site to find posted explanations on these particular games, but I was including them more in case someone had some insight as to which type of games I am struggling with and what methods work best at attacking them. Any help or insight, even if general, would be much appreciated.

Also, I apologize if you have seen this message twice. I posted in a few minutes ago in a thread which wasn't ideal.

Have you watched the 7sage video for those games? JY is so so good at explaining the most ridiculous of games.

Have you watched the 7sage video for those games? JY is so so good at explaining the most ridiculous of games.

I second this. Watch the video, print 5 copies, do them until you understand the inferences really well, print out another copy, put it on your nightstand, do it when you first get up. It helps


And in general, just do a ton of games and watch 7sage for hints if you need them or get stuck

if it makes it easy with the souderton and randsbourgoughghourgh game, just use x and y respectively for the in and out

then just do a normal in and out game. one rule doesn't kick so just play off that.

It really is a matter of repetition, as everyone here is saying. I was horrible at LG (like, less than half correct) until I made myself do every game I could get my hands on three or more times.

In particular, the cats and dogs one is very easy once you actually lay all the information out. You see that you can't have consecutive breeds, and that there are three Himalayans, one of which cannot be on 1, then there are very, very limited options for cats. Then you read that Rottweilers can't go with Himalayans, and your options for dogs are suddenly really limited, too.

If there are four or less scenarios, then always set them all up. It will save you a lot of time in the end, when working on questions.
