theothercat wrote:So, I got some motivation today that's helping me get pumped for this test that maybe will resonate with some of you, or maybe you'll think it's fuckin' dumb.

I am hoping to score in the mid 170s. Anything other than that, for me personally, would be a disappointment, just due to my personal goals, my current PT average, and the fact that I'm retaking from a 169 over three years ago. So when PT 78, which I really looked forward to killing, turned out to be quite a bit lower than I hoped/expected, I got reeeaaal discouraged. And I felt like the odds of squandering my progress this upcoming Saturday had risen considerably. I get the sense that others in this thread maybe are feeling similarly?

But then, today, a friend reminded me that the Cleveland Cavaliers came back from 3-1 to win the NBA Finals. Our shitty PTs seem like the end of the line. But they're not, as long as you know that you're clutch af.

(Also, if you love the Warriors, this motivation will literally have the opposite effect...so please disregard and instead refer back to 2015).

What made me feel good about this test was that I just took it. That the one big outlier on my scores is NOT the one I'm taking Saturday. And that, statistically, it's unlikely to have two giant outliers back to back.

I think I'm gonna run with my dog around the block at 6:00am. Hopefully this physical activity will alleviate most, if not all, of the hyperventilation.

Omg just saw a test masters score increase of someone who got what I got in June and ended up with a 172. That makes me happy.

Nah you wouldn't look like a weirdo, imo. People who are serious about this test would probably overlook it because they know how much pressure we're under. In June there was some guy right outside the TC running back and forth, running in place, and doing jumping jacks. No one looked at him funny. Just do you bro!

Not the morning of, but the evening before I'm gonna play Pokemon Go on the test campus to get some nervous energy out.

That guy pulled a 180 no doubt. I always get really uncomfortable talking to anyone about the LSAT/law school in general due to the mentality that TLS has drilled into me. They all just think I'm a pretentious asshole. Then again they might be onto something...

Bro, i talked to this Asian chick in the TC lobby back in June. Wow, she didn't even know if she wanted to go to law school. She asked me how long I had studied for and I said 5 months, she was like "oh wow good for you, I started like 2 months ago but I work so I only studied like once a week because I always so tired".

Bet you she got a higher score than me tho

Yea- I am just trying to decide what. I workout everyday and its become an addiction in the sense that I think clearer and and more relaxed/focused when I work out especially in the morning. When I worked full-time this summer I would workout before work and even on less sleep I would have more energy and be productive all day. Anyway, my point is I definitely want to do something... I prob won't have time for a lift, but I may just go for a quick run and do some pushups etc to get pumped and feeling good. We will see

I just hope I can fall asleep early af on Friday...

e: funny side note about me... I get super-hyped for everything even exams in school and my friends used to laugh so hard and me blaring music, doing pushups/situps etc getting in the zone. Moral of the story: Fuck the haters and get hyped to crush this tesT!

it was/is really hard explaining to people my decision to retake a 171 without coming off pretentious, especially since i live a couple miles from a super solid regional school that no one understands why i wouldn't be THRILLED to go to

same boat but retaking a 167. I have a friend at our regional that just struck out at OCI after finishing 1L in the top 25% so like idk, going there terrifies me. I'll also had to listen to a girl say "I got a 152, which is acceptable but i was really hoping for a 156" and other people rejecting my offers to help them study. I'm at the point where i just tell them to come here and hope they learn.

On a non-LSAT note, hows everyone doing in Fantasy? I'm 1-1 and hoping AP can bounce back from his torn meniscus or Eddie lacy can put down the cheeseburgers for a few weeks. Asking for both might be a little too much though.

I won this past week, so I'm 1-1. My RB didn't get a single point, so lots of room for growth.

I have a friend who scored in the high 140's and I offered her the opportunity for me to teach her some of the stuff i know. I'm no expert but I'm not completely lost when it comes to this test. She was wait listed at New York law school and was willing to pay sticker if she got off the wait list. Thank GOD she didn't get accepted. She's retaking now but I think she's doing a class. Idk which one tho, I didn't ask

just got done scoring PT 78:

Score 175

LR -2
LG -0
LG -0 (experimental from PT 73)
LR -1
RC -2 (both on Tokens)

pretty much every single one of the tests I used studying for this were retakes from PTs a year ago and I was hoping those 175s weren't just a result of having seen it before, and now I know it's not! ready to crush this thing Saturday :P

Lmao about Eddie Lacy!!! He's fat af. I've gone through two QBs already this season and am 0-2 lol. Some BS, but gotta make it happen. I will come back as I always do. I gambled and took a long position on drafting Tom Bradyso im hoping he comes back a monster and that decision makes it all worthit. Im struggling with RB depth. I have Mark Ingram, Rashad Jennings and Lagarrette Blount.. My top draft pick was OBJ.. Hes doing solid, but im hoping for his dominance to come out soon.
