Let's play "guess this person's look-a-like". Of PWs I haven't seen.

msp8. Search parameters: "Ryan Gosling drive" because he doesn't say much. stud muffin status unconfirmed

ETA - If you've ever wondered how blue human eyes can be, like what is the blue-est possible state of existence for human eyes, you now have your answer.

Image

kang. Search parameters: "asian female LSAT" because not much else to go on

Image

gamerish. Search parameters: "gay puerto rican" because yes

Image

CambrianExplosives. Search parameters: "harvard law male student" because isn't your GPA 5.0 or something

the URL is literally http://www.law.harvard.edu/images-cms/male.students.jpg

Image

Zacboro. Search parameters: "Christopher Mintz-Plasse lawyer" because I wasn't happy with the Michael Cera variety

LOL PnJ. That was what I needed to start my day. I almost burst out laughing in the middle of work.

I especially love GYG's "look-alike", lmao.
This reminds me of this one time when I was working an on-campus job. I was in a cubicle in a dead silent room with two cubicles. There's this new mega hot girl. I mean really, really hot. I was in a long distance relationship at the time so nothing happened, I barely talked to her, but hey, hot girls are hot girls.

Anyway, we're separated by a cubicle wall so we can't see each other, but it's dead silent so we can hear everything; it was awkwardly silent at times all the time. The whole office was deadly silent; people just didn't talk to each other. I hope I've adequately set the scene.

I'm on reddit reading some thing that is really funny. I'm trying not to laugh because just imagine how creepy it is to hear muffled, raspy laughter in an otherwise muted space. But I'm failing. You know when you have a burst of laughter but you try to shut your mouth, so you make a fart-like sound through your lips? That was happening. It got to the point where I pressed both of my hands to my mouth to stop the laughing. I had to read, and stop, and read again, and stop again.

It wasn't working. I gave up. Unfortunately, when you try really hard not to laugh, you just end up laughing harder. I was literally doubled over, laughing, gasping for air, tears streaming down my face, when I heard her walk by. I looked up at her, kneeling on the floor, with my beet-red, tear-covered face. We locked eyes momentarily. She kept walking.

Here's what I was reading, for anybody curious:

First, I've read the Economist for a couple years now and agree that it's a great resource. Their articles really are eerily similar to RC passages in length, tone, structure, etc., and they're actually my favorite source of news and analysis. In my opinion, nearly all of the American news sources that are easily accessible (i.e., don't have paywalls) are too specialized, biased, clickbaity, and/or pandering.

Second, I wouldn't force myself through German philosophers just for the sake of LSAT prep. I've read Kant for four semesters now (including most of the CPR), and while I think it has improved my reading ability, there are much more efficient means of studying. If you can read such things for fun or need to for school, then go for it, but as a prep technique the cost/benefit probably won't work out. The most important thing is just reading in general, so there's nothing wrong with choosing easier / less painful books if that means you will actually read them.

Can anyone with a print Economist subscription tell me how it compares to the digital experience? Is it much better?
It would be for fun/supplemental if I was reading any philosophy these next couple of months. I'm not replacing drilling actual RC sections with any reading. I just figured it wouldn't hurt to read 25-50 pages of the economist, philosophy, court opinions, or whatever to improve my general reading abilities.

As for the Economist, I always prefer hard copies. Back lit screens hurt my eyes, and besides the Economist app is awful. The content is the same for the most part. However, one nice feature of their digital sub is their new "espresso" app with daily morning briefings. I've found it this past week to be a good way to get the mind working in the morning with a cup of coffee.
awww, I actually quite love their app and totally give up on the hard copy, have you tried their chrome app? for Mac? It is really good

So so much. We're at the point where I know my score won't improve in a week, but I can't stop studying either. Why isn't it this Saturday!?

I'm also of the feeling that my score is where it is - but I can't start studying

I guess I'll just keep the wheels greased, maybe retake some of the more recent tests so I have a good feel after doing mostly older PTs for the retake

PnJ: nice guesswork. I'm Canadian, so the Gosling comparison has that at least.

Btw, your story left me wondering about increased awkwardness w/ the girl afterwards!
