sup bb's. taking 2day off. gunna do some lite review. GL to all.
GT - good observation on 73's LR. I definitely remember rushing through the first 15. Do you think 70-72 followed that trend as well? I just don't want to overthink it too much on test day. Gunna redo 73 in sections tomorrow. Did 73 LG yesterday, got -1 on test day and got -1 yesterday, on a different question lolz.

I agree with you 100%. 73 sucked. This time around, relaxing is my number one priority this week. After getting an all-time high on my last PT before the Sept test, I completely melted during the test. This week, it's meditation, yoga, eating healthy, and not taking crap from anyone. The Avatar wrote:Honestly I'm much less stressed and more relaxed than before, not because it is my retake but more so that I am confident of doing better than how I'd performed on PT 73. LSAC seems to have screwed over a lot of us who are taking the test this year, compared to previously years because I find the 60's much easier. Even December 2013 with a -14 curve was easier.
On another note, what are people's morning routines like this week? In September, I had a 6:30 wake up locked in two weeks before hand. But this week, even with 8+ hours per night, I feel groggy at 6:45 waking up. Just wondering if any one else is having this problem.

OMG so much this. I would have loved to take 71 as the real deal. Totally standard test, no surprises, -14. Compared to 73 (-12), which is a much trickier test imo, I have no idea where the curve from 71 came from. The Avatar wrote:Honestly I'm much less stressed and more relaxed than before, not because it is my retake but more so that I am confident of doing better than how I'd performed on PT 73. I've been having trouble sleeping this week, so I've been sleeping in until 10ish. It's bad.madz wrote:I agree with you 100%. 73 sucked. Working on RC from PT 55 at a watermelon meeting. All these salesman on their phones is a great practice distraction.

YES. Isn't the curve generally a bit more lenient on December, without the test being super weird? I feel like 71 is a perfect example of that.GreenTee wrote:OMG so much this. See, the ones I missed were mostly in the 20s.GreenTee wrote: Thanks Koala! The weird thing is that there really weren't any killer questions in LR2. I think what threw everybody off in this section was the timing irregularity I was describing above. LSAC did a really cruel thing. They gave us a 26 question LR section with the hardest questions clustered in the beginning. When I see a 26 question LR section, I instinctively want to rush through the first few pages to make time for that extra question at the end. If you tried to do that on this section, it killed you.
But this is absolutely a trend in 70s! Everyone needs to watch out for this on test day. 72 LR2, for example, had the guppy strengthen question and the auto accident weaken question (disguised as a flaw question) in #8 and #10, respectively. Neither of those questions were absolute killers, but if you were rushing, you'd definitely fuck them up. So keep your eyes out for tricky questions early in the section, and don't be afraid to spend time on them.

Go to a room with nice lighting and windows that have the blinds up so you can't see outside. The light provided by the well lit room will simulate sunshine and rainbows!nlee10 wrote:How do you guys study with crappy weather? It's raining in NY too. I stayed home today. My body hates me, I feel so sleepy. I think this is because I've given up caffeine (as of yesterday). Of course today my mother gives me a guarana supplement. I read the label after ingesting and saw that it has caffeine. YAY. We'll see how today goes. Maybe I'll take it on Saturday, too.
Rigo re: 6a.m. wake up crew - WHY. What time do you have to be up on Saturday? & what time have you been waking up lately?

So, the ex who got a 180: took it in June and woke up at 11a.m. If take three is what I need, that's how I'll be playing it. Hopefully no third take will be necessary.Dirigo wrote:Oh I'm sorry. I thought you wanted to improve on your retake.Shakawkaw wrote: Rigo - WHY.
Although I took LR2 of PT 70 yesterday and got my ass handed to me. So we'll see!

Watching JY's videos of 71. Could not help but watch the first person POV of JY taking it (below the video).
