On that note, I'm going over again on some LR questions from the more recent PTs that I've gotten wrong and struggled with.

Tbh, it weirds me out when people in real life are taking the LSAT. For some reason, in my head it's an obscure internet thing that only TLS people know about.

RIGHT?!?!? It's so weird. When I interned this summer, there were a few people there also taking the Sept. LSAT, and one of them taking it at my school (he goes where I go as well for college and TC for the LSAT). One of them was actually pretty good at this test, constant 170+ scoring but his issue was timing on games and could only finish 3 games but do amazing on all other sections. He showed me how he does RC and it just wasn't my cup of tea, but he wrecks that section so good for him!

Idk how people group study for the LSAT. I tried it with another guy there and it was just.. idk.. weird. Like I guess it can be helpful to see how someone else reasoned through something, but i feel like this is the kind of test where you really just have to do it on your own and not have someone interfering with the way you reason and figure shit out on your own (aka BR).

Basically every dumb pre-law person I meet is like, "Yeah, I registered for a Kaplan class..." and I instantly stop listening.

LOL I know someone who got a 171 and had taken a Kaplan course. He said he literally knew from the get go that it was going to be a waste of time/money but still wanted to try it. After it, his expectations were right lol. He said they did help with some stuff, but basically all of his improvement came from doing PTs and reviewing. Saw him the other day actually, he summered at a decent firm here in nyc and said he fucking hated it sooo, yup lmao

Just did three games sections. Dec 2015 Games -0 few min to spare, Feb 96 Games -0 8 minutes to spare, Oct 08 Games -1 with 5 min to spare sort of (i.e. all on one question just to make sure it was right)... that fourth game was pretty weird. Kind of silly that I missed the acceptable list as the only one I missed... it happened b/c I flipped the V-J rule in my head, realized it at the second question, then switched to an answer that fixed that but didn't agree with the conditional. Zero idea how you were supposed to diagram that... did it almost all in my head.

Hi guys! Serious question, do you think t14s mostly look at your highest score? Or do they average it/ take all into consideration? Just wondering because I am thinking of taking the December test as well.

IIRC, only really HYS really consider multiple scores. Berkeley probably does too, but who knows what Berkeley does. I think schools may look at multiple scores if you are sort of in that fringe admit or fringe reject area.

No school besides Yale cares about multiple scores. (this is TCR on TLS)

NYU claims that they average scores, but accordingly to the large amount of retakers who have gotten in the past few years, this seems to not be true at all

I'm the head of our pre-law student leadership at my uni (not a big deal lol) but I basically have to yell at everyone to not take Kaplan/try to get a Kaplan course at our university - we at least get Powerscore now but I wish there was more options around us. I'm at least knowledgeable enough about all the online options that I can help people get started on things that will actually help them...

As far as I know Harvard is the only top school with a STATED policy of considering only the top score. Anyone confirm? I was kind of banking on this if I get a 173+

Most schools say they "consider all scores" in order to appear like a holistic admissions department. In reality, all but Yale and maybe Stanford game the rankings by caring about the top score.

This is exactly how I feel.

I'm keeping the prep super-light and trying to enjoy my life (or what I remember of it pre-LSAT).

I'm trying to keep sharp and flexible on LG by lightly drilling hard/unusual games all the way to test day, but otherwise I feel pretty maxed out (in a good way).

UGH RC kicked my ass today. -8 and five of the missed ones were all from the last passage. Looking back at it, I definitely think that it having increased detail and definition focused questions threw me off. I like science passages, but I was having a bit of trouble keeping track of everything I think. I felt like I wasn't performing well that whole section though. It sucked.
