I'm proud of yougamerish wrote:I time when I drill. I can't resist. I don't limit myself to the specified time and I turn the screen off my phone while I'm taking it so don't get distracted. At first I was still rushing but eventually it got through my head getting the fundamentals down was more important and now I usually forget I'm even timing myself. If you can stand not timing yourself though, I wouldn't.
ETA: My drilling process with LG pretty much goes: Start the timer, do the game, stop the timer when I feel sure enough to move onto the next game, go back and look at any questions I was unsure of, check my answers, try and solve any questions I got wrong, watch the 7sage video. If I got any wrong, I mark my timed and "BR" scores (if I changed an answer) separately. I've made waaaaaay more progress with this method than I have with any other method so far.

you go girl, its amazing how much better a library can be for productivity... just a pain to go to lolgamerish wrote:

I time LG and RC drilling but not LR. My drilling process for LG and RC is pretty similar- do the passage/game timed, review it to see if I missed any key inferences/fucked up the diagram/misread the passage or missed key details, grade it, watch 7sage video/look up RC explanation, feel smug if JY tells me I did the game in the recommended time, rinse repeat.
In other news, the PT wasn't as bad as I thought it was. Also I read on the internet that 3 Musketeers bars taste better frozen, so I bought a bag of the tiny unwrapped ones and tried it and it turns out that they totally do. So that's two good things today.

I always find it useful to change my study location once in a while. Keeps my brain sharp, new distractions, etc.gamerish wrote:

So I finished correcting the SA packet. I went -4 on 58 Qs. SA is one Q type that I've consistently had a harder time with. What's frustrating here is 3 of those wrong answers came in lvl 1 and 2; 1 in lvl 3; 0 in lvl 4.

Might have to take a rest day tomorrow. It feels wrong to this close to game day, especially since I haven't been as productive as I want to be, but my biggest problem has always been test anxiety and I feel it starting to slide back into the place it was before December.

Doesn't seem wrong to take a rest day. I think rest is pretty important, let strategies consolidate, etc.leslieknope wrote:Might have to take a rest day tomorrow. I swear the LSAT writers are fucking with us. PT 73 S1 Q5 the ACs between "emphatic disagreement" and "mild disapproval"... [not saying which one is right] but really? when the hell will it ever be useful for us to discern between the two? lol...

Could you elaborate? Lol disagreement and disapproval are pretty similar in my mind :/RZ5646 wrote:And so are disagreement and disapproval.Dirigo wrote:Emphatic and mild are pretty different.kang wrote:I swear the LSAT writers are fucking with us. And Drigio, I get how they are different. It's just that I feel like the LSAT writers knew our "general rule" of approaching author attitude question and made TCR the opposite AC. Do you know what I mean? I don't want to get into too much detail for the sake of those who didn't take this test...

Just retook 63 and got a 171, took LG a little while back when I started up prepping again and did worse than I did on gameday.
That f'ing question about mild disagreement v. emphatic disagreement is one of two I missed twice

Was it G4? Took that yesterday and something about the wording threw me off.Big Red wrote:Just retook 63 and got a 171, took LG a little while back when I started up prepping again and did worse than I did on gameday.

Missing questions on a game where I split the game board and had it almost completely figured out because I misread the stimulus and looked at the wrong game board
I swear to god, brain, it was right in front of your face.

PT 59 today and managed another 170
Felt very comfortable throughout the test so I'm happy about it overall (even though I dropped 3 on games). The only reason I didn't do 5 sections is because I was short on time. Definitely doing 5 tomorrow in a more challenging place other than my room.
