Are we allowed to have a backup watch? I would really like to use the watch I have been prepping with/already took the lsat with but a backup watch does seem like a good way to avoid disaster.

I have taken around 7 PTs (timed) so far, and on almost every single one, I've made at least one (sometimes two) "answer transference" errors in which I bubble in the wrong answer on my sheet even though I have it right on my booklet. This is exceptionally frustrating, in that on the last PT I took, my misbubbling took me from a 170 to a 169. I bubble after every question, since I know Powerscore recommends this to reduce errors. Does this happen to anyone else or does anyone have tips? How do you bubble in? I'm considering switching to answer grouping, like transferring my answers after every logic game. Thank you so much!

Answer grouping would prob be worse. In your situation I think it's best to simply double check when ur transferring the answer.

I started bubbling after every two pages for LR, every game for LG, and every passage for RC. I was adamant about doing after every question previously for the same reasons, but I decided to switch a few PTs ago just to see what would happen. I found that grouping got rid of the transferring errors I was making, and it also went faster and gave me a short 15-20 second break before I went on to the next group, which you wouldn't think would be that helpful but it really is.

Once five minutes is called, though, I start doing individually

Exactly how I do it! Haven't had issues with any errors and this method works great especially switching in the last five mins although I hope to get to the point in Lr/RC where those five mins aren't spent answering any new questions anymore just reviewing the hardest ones. Consciously taking a breath to relax after each passage of Pair of pages is nice

Hope everyone had a good weekend. First time posting here. Getting pretty nervous for September - I've been studying in bits and pieces for the past 2 months but finally decided to take a practice test (PT62) under simulated conditions and scored a 177 (-2 RC, -1 LR1, -0 LG, -3 LR2). Was pretty stoked on that but I definitely need to do a few more because that was likely a fluke. Really struggling with LR - it seems that when I'm reading the question during the test 2-3 of the answer choices for some questions all seem right, but when I go back and look after getting it wrong the answer seems pretty obvious. I guess hindsight is always 20/20 but I'm gonna try working on that section if future PTs show it to consistently be the weakest.

Also in busy season for my job so I'm definitely not able to study as much as I'd like to, but hoping to apply this cycle and really don't want to extend the LSAT hell into December. Good luck to everyone down the home stretch

After months of using the mastermind, I used the perfectscore watch today and am really upset at this ban lol

I'm kind of confused about this whole ban... I have a top tier timer watch that I have to manually reset. Is that watch still allowed?? I literally have nightmares about going to the test and being told I can't have my watch.

Technically speaking, "stop watches" are disallowed, especially if it has a start/stop/reset feature. Anything tailored to the LSAT is disallowed. A silent stop-watch, or a chronographic watch, that straps to your wrist is disallowed.

I'm bringing my LSAT watch, my chronographic watch, and a cheap $10 watch from Target. If they tell me to leave with the first two, I will go hide them in the building until my test is over.

I've heard people do that with 3 watches. Just leave them all set at noon with the pin pulled out, when you start a new section you just push the pin in and it's easy to see where you're at. During your break you obviously have enough time to reset as necessary.

No need for a fancy watch. Just use an analog watch and reset to 11:25 at the start of each section. Then your watch is "counting down" to noon as the section progresses. Use it during your PTs to practice resetting between sections. You should have plenty of time.

PT 71 (5 sections) - 167. Did bubbling for the first time. Honestly, at this point, I'd be happy with a 168 and I'm off to Gtown. Seriously over this test. Didn't have enough time to answer 3 questions (2 LG & 1 LR).........

the 2 times I took it, yes, there were 3 proctors both times. and yes, 1 of them was up front and 2 of them walking around.

Gonna try something new to tackle my problems with LR: got fresh copies of all the LRs from PT 73, 74, 78 which were the last three tests I took and marked off which ones I got wrong. I have my trusty LSAT Trainer with me to refer to as I do each question to make sure I'm using the right strategy. LR is literally what's standing between me and my 170+.

Didn't do anything LSAT-related from Friday-Sunday, so I'm glad the reprieve paid off

LG: -0 (my first perfect LG section!)

I hope this test wasn't a fluke because I'm very excited to have tied my best score as well as having my best score on a test in the 60-80 range.
Don't give up hope y'all; the late stage gains are possible!

I don't take breaks now when I do PTs so why tf not try back to back PTs with a small break
